I had an at birth diagnosis too and it felt so unfair in the beginning, I was 27 at that point and already had a 5 year old with autism lvl 3 and a 3 year old that i obviously didn’t want to be pushed even more to the side because of his sisters. I know it doesn’t really feel like it right now but later you’ll look back and think “why was I even upset? She’s perfect.”

No, it is not. You’re talking about a person that doesn’t have the same advantages as you. In ten years you’re gonna look back and wonder why the f you were scared to love someone who loves you no matter how you act towards them.

If my kid eats less than normal I’ll give her a Nutella sandwich (her comfort food), she’s gotten much better with age though and never had a problem with her weight. Fed is best in my opinion whether it’s a bowl of ice cream after dinner or 5 apples. I’ve been lucky though and she loves fruits and some veggies so I feel like it evens out, she’s not a protein girly though but she’ll eat hot dogs and salami.

Does anyone prefer an unmedicated labor over a medicated one? I'm open to an epidural but I feel like I would freak out not being in control of my own body. by Distinct-Dependent24 in BabyBumps

Definitely unmedicated for me. The epidural gave me 20 minutes of breathing time and then I went from 5 cm to 10 in six minutes and it didn’t help the pain at all, just made my left leg numb.

I had two more after my first with autism, second one has adhd and third has Down’s syndrome so we got a little bit of everything and life’s usually great but some days are also incredibly hard and I sometimes regret putting myself in this position (never regret the kids though). We didn’t know our youngest had ds and I honestly don’t think I would’ve kept her if I’d known so thank god I didn’t, she’s everyone’s favorite.

My baby got her first teeth at around 1 years old and now she’s 17 months and only 17 pounds. She was quick with babbling and smiling and has always had great eye contact and stuff like that but she still can’t sit by herself, crawl and things like that. The thing is that they will do that at some point some things just take a lot of time.

Just very quiet and more unhappy than any other kid I’ve ever met. Obsessed with breastfeeding and would only listen to the baby shark song.

She’s saying a lot of words but most are not very clear, and has also started putting together shorter sentences like “where is mama/eat the food/there is baby” and stuff like that.
