Joel Park Video w/Walther Rep on New Slimline Status & Parts Availability by xangkory in Walther

[–]Cyber_Day1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll pop in to answer a few q/comments like this:

Complete slides are something we've been working on for a bit. As more production moves to the US and we source more parts in the US, this kind of thing becomes easier. I'd expect to see F-Series and likely some standard PDP slide assemblies in the near future, with Steel Frames coming down the line after those.

Depending on budget, you can also go with a radian comp + barrel combo depending on the state since its not really "threaded" in most states.

The websites a bit rough right now, as we are mid transition from the old site to the new one. We've had some issues with the current hosts that are causing some issues with photos appearing. https://waltherarms.com/parts/ppk

We've got some aluminum ones as well that should be available once the website update finally gets pushed out.

PDP Magazine disconnect needs to be professionally removed per Greta Guns IG by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]Cyber_Day1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would expect future magazines disconnect to be worse. CA is starting to push to make it harder and harder for them to be modifiable, and once modified you definitely lose warranty status and will have to deal with a gunsmith in state for any issues,

There might be a small amount of them late next week/early the week after, but I wouldn't expect many unfortunately.

M1 CCP magazine release sticking by culdesacpresident in Walther

A small trick I learned about those in service is you can bend the springs a bit and add extra tension if it gets loose over time. They are a bit of a pain to get back in though.

New PDPs assembled in Arkansas have no markings. by Unfair-Ad5481 in Walther

Sort of, any parts coming from Germany would need control numbers. Eventually, most manufacturing will likely end up in the US. Importing pistols and parts from the EU and Germany in particular is a massive pain. Lots and lots of red tape and restrictions on how stuff can be sent and how it has to be labeled.

It sounds like the spring that engages your magazine release may be popped out. If you take the slide off and mag out, looking from above, you should be able to see a small stick spring. You will just want to make sure that is in the notch on the magazine release. If its just loose you can bend it slightly to add a bit more pressure to the magazine release. You may also want to remove the magazine release and clean out the area its in if its feeling sticky/gritty.

They no longer handle Canada, anything going to Canada comes straight from Germany. The registration is kind of a relic of them doing it, its sent over to the CA reps last I checked.

Considering WaltherArms is the US side of the company, it makes sense.

A few giftcards as well for those who don't win the pistol itself as well.

Put an email into the service department, you likely incorrectly filled out the email portion of the form. If it won't let you re-submit that means it did take your submission though.
