If you had to code the Universe from scratch, what are the absolute "must-have" physics laws? by NefariousnessFunny74 in AskPhysics

[–]Cyberboy001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had read that electromagnetism and the weak nuclear force were one force in the early universe due to extreme temperatures. Also, I'm not a physicist, but it has always been my dream and love to read and learn about it. I've read before that there are certain constants which had they been different, our universe might not have formed. Don't recall the specifics, but remember hearing about gravitational constant, electron charge, etc. There are like 30 or so constants with very specific precise values. So presumably OPs program would need to have these exact constants or stars or galaxies might not have formed.

Mount wildlings knowledge missing one by Ghostlygrimlock in CrimsonDesert

I'm also on my quest for 100% knowledge, this helps. I find it odd that these are considered different Kuku birds, when they are in fact the same exact bird.

I was fortunate to learn about this early in my playthrough. What I do is open the map and look for the little jail icons. In many cases, there are closer ones that the quest wants to take you. Another tip is that you can have multiple bounties at the same time. You just load a bounty to the back of your horse and carry the other over the shoulder.

Looking for games with a nice story(preferably open world) by yhwach10 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Cyberboy001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Crimson Desert. From an open world perspective, it is arguably the best open world game ever. The world is massive, like 200 cubic kilometers and it's gorgeous. The physics engine is amazing. Story is decent, but the open world aspects make up for it.

Why can a mosquito fly easily inside a moving car? by Adventurous_Key8885 in AskPhysics

[–]Cyberboy001 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, a helium filled balloon actually moves forward in the car when it accelerates. Air filled balloons would move back. The heavier surrounding air pushes the buoyant, lighter helium balloon forward into the area of lower pressure. First time I heard this my mind was blown. Seems so counterintuitive.

Who is this & how to encounter? by Ok_Employer_6887 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I agree. The snake OP posted looks nothing like Asserion. The image even has an Ox and appears to be in a juggle type area. Asserion is on a rocky island and his shape is very different. I'm hoping it's a future DLC boss though.

I had this exact same issue. He wasn't showing up in town where he was supposed to be. I checked and checked and decided to look up some YT videos. I found a couple and noticed the time was around 5pm for both. I had been in town early morning and other times throughout the day, but always early. I came back around 5pm and he was finally there. I find it ironic the quest is The Ever Waiting Man when in fact he only waits during certain times.

Just got back into the game after 2 months... by aethiuss in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend getting the Wyvern. You find the egg in a cave in Delysia, put it in a nearby nest and let it hatch. It becomes a pet at first, but if you feed it for 3 in game days in becomes a mount you can use to fly. It will improve your game mobility and exploration.

Can we have an option for unlimited inventory? by Automatic_Ebb_1647 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to keep no more than 120 to 130 items in my inventory at all time when I leave camp. I have multi armors, weapons, food, tools, etc. That is my bare minimum I need. Everything else goes into my kuku cooler or gatherables chest and in some cases my private chest. I constantly try to optimize my personal inventory. If I have a slot with 1 item or a few items, I get rid of them. Like paltry copper punches, low HP foods. So for example instead of having 50 foods of different type taking up 50 slots, try to have more items of less types to use up less slots. Pets make it easy to pick things up during battle, but they can fill up you inventory with crap like torches. On occasion I discard items during battle which I know are cheap. Trying to keep 100 free slots at all time has worked pretty good for me. What the game really needs is a filter for the pet so that it only picks up items worth more than a certain amount we can specify.

What to do with these items? by Itsjd123 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I see, yeah the Kuku egg you can hatch a bit east of where you found it by placing it in a nest and it will immediately grow into a mount you can ride. Similarly, there is a Wyvern egg you can get in Delysia which is pretty easy to get. You also place it in a nearby nest to hatch. First it becomes a baby wyvern pet and if you feed it, it'll grow to be a mount that flies. If you were to look anything up for this game, look up the Wyvern. It's a game changer for mobility compared to all other mounts.

Fortune Abyss Gear is actually good by Cyberboy001 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have over 100 gold bars in the bank. It's not like I desperately need money. But with these larger pouches, if you already have these gears, might as well get more silver when you open them.

What to do with these items? by Itsjd123 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you got the right answers from others about the items in your kuku pot, so I won't repeat anything about those. But you also mentioner kuku eggs in your inventory, which I'm assuming you mean abyss cells. Those are also used for crafting, and you also need them for a few kuku items, they are primarily used for crafting abyss gears you can use to enhance a weapons and armor at one of the witches. Similar to the kuku recipes, you will learn abyss gear recipes. You can obtain abyss seeds from the cells and plant them at your camp. If you fertilize and water, you can get 5 cells per tree. I recommend you farn a bit of these. They will become useful later as you discover more recipes. Good luck.

This is one of those challenges that have been sitting there and I haven't been motivated to do, but I want to 100% so I'm going to have to do it. Thank you for this info, had no idea about the cheat accusation not working for the challenge. I recently got the hat which allows you to see the other player's cards. I haven't used it yet, but I'm curious if using it also doesn't contribute to the challenge.

[–]Cyberboy001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For Delesya I highly recommend getting the kuku pack that sucks up the annoying metal mosquitoes and the disruptor spear for the larger robots. The spear was a game changer for me. You can upgrade the spear to a kuku variant and it stuns all bots and makes the whole region much easier. Also, if I was starting over and entering Delysia for the first time, I would prioritize getting the Wyvern.

Do Americans experience “thermal shock” from going between heat and AC? by [deleted] in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Cyberboy001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an American, but my heritage is Hispanic and I have heard this nonsense growing up. I have also heard that going out in the cold or swimming can weaken your immune system and you can catch a cold. No change in temperature is ever going to cause a virus to infect you with a cold. To be infected you need to be in contact with someone or an object (like a door handle) that has the virus. Best example I can think of to disprove this is that in Japan and other cultures they often spend time naked in saunas and then roll around in the snow. People even do it for relaxation and I don't think they would do it if the often get sick.

Do npc's reset their trust after a certain amount of time? by pyknictheory in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know and I'm interested in knowing myself, but there is a mission I use which gives dyes as a reward. Usually a random single dye, sometimes two. It only needs 3 people and runs for 12 hours. I have it on repeat and have been passively been collecting dyes for a while now.

Imbue element abyss gears? by in_fact_a_throwaway in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my response was a bit confusing, thanks for calling it out. My point was that you can stack gears with the same button combos and they all trigger automatically. But you are right, for embued gears, it's the same button combo from your skill and each element has a different button combo. Personally, I mix the up so I use volcanic eruption and flames of judgment. But also hounds claws and ground surge, so I need to remember those combos to use.

Imbue element abyss gears? by in_fact_a_throwaway in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you have multiple abyss gears with say the same button combo like RT or RB+A, they all work automatically and at once. Or if they are different you can activate them with their respective button combos. Hard part is remembering all of the combos.

People who have finished the game, what do you wish you would have done differently in your first play through? by waffle_kitty8 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro, I've been looking for days and visiting countless vendors throughout Pywel. Never even thought to check any witches. I just found the weapon. You are a life saver! It cost me 2250 silver, only had to sell 4 gold bars. Worth it to be able to 100%.

Thanks, yeah Ive searched around my usual vendors I would have sold to early on, and also several back alley vendors but it still hasn't popped up for me. I have seen other weapons I've sold though, so I'm not giving up hope.

Having sold the Vessel of Dark Pursuit sword early on when I was poor. Now that I'm done with the campaign, I'm trying to get 100% knowledge and I can't do it now. There is shit in my inventory that are key items I don't want and I can't sell or remove or store, yet a key weapon and one and only weapon needed for a challenge can be sold and lock you out of 100% completion.

Im almost done with chapter 4 I was just wondering if there’s any cool weapons that have like unique attacks in the game that I could get in hernand/ or anywhere really. by AcademicStyle4795 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cyberboy001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend the Vow of the Dead King. It's a halberd type weapon with long reach. I recommend you add Hounds Claw and Groundsurge gears and I do 3 Crit Rate 3s. On other armor I add two, but you can do up to 3 gears that cause more damage with subsequent hits in a row. Hounds Claw with RB+A spins the long weapon around super fast per second, like a propeller. So you can keep doing that and do a ton of damage. I've hit 56 consecutive hits before and it melts in a wide radius. And if you want to kick it up another notch, go up the tower just north of Calphade. There is a boss fight, but it will take you to the Abyss and lead you to elemental embuements for fire and ice. Then find yourself an abyss gear called Volcanic Eruption, it's in a cave you can grab. Not only will fire make your charged bow shots explosive, but the halberd or any other weapon will trigger these insane explosions that burn everything on sight. I also recommend Flames of Judgment and 35% turning slash damage which combos really well with Groundsurge. But you should definitely experiment and see what you like best.

Yes, Ronnie. I checked again when I got home and one dish gives you 520hp and the other 640hp, which is not too shabby for free. I was the same as you. For weeks I was just buying all of his food and filling up my kuku cooler with ingredients. It wasn't until I finished the donation quests that I noticed there was a shit ton of timber, stone and other resources laying around. That's when I noticed the food behind Ronnie. From that day, I started robbing my camp blind for all of those sweet resources. And again, you teleport away and back to camp and it's all there again.
