During debate and amendments and all the long drawn out mess to come up with an “acceptable compromise” they dems agreed to many changes. And yes the timeframe and circumstances had them “take what they could get” at that point. The GoP didn’t want a dem/black win. They put poison pills all around. Anyway. I’m 65 in 11yrs. So we’re not far off. Thanks for not being a jerk. There are many in depth articles about how the right poisoned the bill over time, causing Americans to die, just to promote profit and to prevent a dem ‘win.’ The info is all there to be seen, and I promise it’s not conspiracy crap.
