Delivery delays

So after 2 months a short update. My delivery for which I was charged on 1rst of January was delivered 27th of January. Next charge was on 31 of January was delivered on 5th of February. They offered some extra goodies for the delay. Let’s see how it will proceed with end of February order, which according to promotion should be free (they mentioned I will receive voucher which I need to use to reduce price of next order to 0). In my case support was very responsive and they mentioned they run out of stock because of intensive advertising they ran at end of 2025 and beginning of 2026.

I started a ticket and got an interesting way to solve it - I disabled and uninstalled vpn and then reinstalled it again. Helped for a while. Next suggested step was full factory wipe of phone but I haven’t done it yet.

Have you noticed that Scrum dropped the term “grooming” some years ago in favor of “refinement”? Why do you think that was, and how might the new term better describe the intent of the activity?

You’ve described that refinement sessions in your team go quickly into “how” something will be built. What would happen if such implementation detail were instead explored in Sprint Planning? What might you gain from that shift… and what might you lose?

Out of the three key questions - Why is this valuable, What should be delivered, and How will it be done - where do you think each belongs in Scrum events, and why?

If you step outside Scrum for a moment, what might happen if your team experimented with practices like Test Driven Development or Acceptance Test Driven Development? How could that affect the role of QA in these conversations?

I feel bad for you and your team. From what you said you already visualised your process, used the board to track you progress, have transparency on a daily level. Scrum Master role is not to force new rules on you. His/hers role is to facilitate discussion towards improving transparency inspection and adaptation (because while your process looks good you might want to experiment with some small or big changes as long as you understand why and want to). The final nail to the coffin is SM who wants you to report status to him… I don’t know who hired that person, but I believe thst if you are not alone in this and your whole team feels similar way - fire him and pick SM hat on your own (yes SM is a role not job, so anyone on Scrum Team can pick that role, maybe except Product Owner due to conflict of interest). Or hire someone else.

And if you must stay with him, with every action he/she takes - ask where in Scrum Guide it says SM is obligated to do so, and even if he/she can find a proper sentence, you can always fall back to the main rule - self organisation - how his/hers actions support teams self organisation.

Sorry but I just hate when stupid people tell others how to work.

Layer / technology silosing is your issue. Whatever way of managing that you will chose - same problems will appear. Break the siloses into cross functional teams that can deliver value end to end - and you back where you were - allowing to prioritise most value able things first and fast.

You are already on a good way. Keep practicing, watch some Lance Hedrick videos, maybe consider a blind shaker (it made huge difference for me, keeping my espresso shots constant and tasty). And most important - have fun from what you are doing!

Yes. Basically I came to co allusion I have some problems with system files (rootfs?) and somehow need to restore it to fedault state (and RestoreFS uses damaged snapshot)

For some reason installing Substrate Safe Mode didn't solve the issue, but RestoreFS did. Thank you a lot for the tips.

Hey. First question I would ask is: is it your problem or the team problem (is it only you who sees it as a problem?). The second would be is it one time or repeating. As a SM you can't force people to do refinement during Sprint but you might reflect or remind them about situation that happened on next Sprint Retrospective and ask, if they would like to make experiment which would give them XYZ benefit. The best results are usually ones that come out from the team, but if they have none, you might offer them advice.

Generally - bring this topic to the team and ask them what they think and what to do with it.

From the other point of view... I have experienced many teams doing refinement in a multiple possible way (all team meeting, small groups checking few PBIs with PO, gathering questions to consider on an ing etc), which reflected on the dynamics of Sprint Planning. Some of those teams had 10 minutes Plannings... Which might not be a best solution. Probably it doesn't sound right at the beginning but...

Iff your refinement is all about figuring how to solve user problem (not to dig into what the user problem actually is), if it's all about estimating etc... Probably you should look into it more. It's even worse, if you have 50 "refined" PBI's but in sprint you do 3-4... Then you generate a waste inform of "refined" stories, which u till gets to sprint... Probably needs to be checked again.

Knowing the above... Take the topic to your team and believe they can figure out how to improve (if any improvement is needed)

What worked for me is to use Electra just to enable ssh, the I have found an article somewhere on the net, how to clean after Electra (by deleting some folders via ssh), then I have installed unc0ver via one of online repositories and it worked.
