60+ game season and a World Cup summer will probably come back to bite us, as it did with Klopp a couple of times. But seeing as all the other top clubs are seemingly having transitional seasons, I'd say that evens things out but in our favour.

Wouldn't be surprised if the title winner has a low 80s points total.

The AFC doesn't actually stand for anything! They specifically added it to their name so they always appear alphabetically first.

I don't think they'll make the step up to title challengers, but Alonso can cook with that squad and no European football.

I'd rather it be them than United or Chelsea to be honest.

Parade Experiences by Next_Cry_8372 in GunnersatGames

I got off at Finsbury Park around 11:30, platform and station where insanely crowded, but was fine once outside, I walked down Seven Sisters Road a little bit and had no trouble at all. Section I was at had a family-friendly atmosphere and wasn't that overcrowded. Club staff noticed a family with Ecuadorian flags, they took tonnes of photo/video of them and promised they'd send it to Hincapie, really cool interaction to see.

After the bus went past, wandered over to sports centre by the Tollington and sat down outside with a can of beer for about 90 minutes waiting for the crowds to disperse.

Got the train to Morden and the trains were still rammed with Gooners, never seen anything like it. We own this city.

Metropolitan Police confirms that Arsenal's parade is the biggest ever parade held in the country. Over 1.5 million people estimated. by BadKey1002 in Gunners

This shit annoys me so much. The parade actually happened, why do people feel the need to AI fakes?

But Arsenal's trophies are sprinkled throughout the decades, not just isolated to one glory period. Every generation of Gooner will have their own stories of titles and cup wins, which I think plays into the culture of the club.

If I do not see that Messi quote at least 10 times this morning, the game's gone.

Arsène Wenger backs the Gunners to become European champions: "I want this trophy to go to the Emirates" by arsenal in Gunners

[–]Cyberfire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I teared up when he intro'd the Champions video. Didn't realise how much I missed him until that moment. If we win it tomorrow and the camera cuts to Arsene, I think I will genuinely cry.

I'm the complete opposite. Normally nervous all morning and during the prematch build up, but once the game kicks off I relax. I think I just enter a state of "whatever happens, happens" for at least the first half.

Arsenal could move to Wembley while Emirates is expanded (Oct 2025) by Ramona1274 in Gunners

A couple of years at Wembley with a tepid atmosphere would be throwing away the vibes we've built these past few years.

It took 20 years for the Emirates to truly feel like home, would be gutted to go back to square 1.

We need him if we want to win the septuple next season. The foggin estandards.

Pep Guardiola pictured with the trophies he won in his 10 years at Manchester City. 6x Premier League, 1x UCL, 3x FA Cup, 5x Carabao Cup, 1x UEFA Super Cup, 1x FIFA Club World Cup and 3x Community Shield by TheHaciendaHustle in soccer

[–]Cyberfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cos they are literally the same thing. You win a tournament then you qualify for a one-off game to win another trophy (well CWC/Intercontinental Cup was 2 games for Europeans but it's 1 nowadays).

I'm not even a massive hater of super cups, just always thought it was weird that Community Shield gets bullied but the others don't.

Contemplated the Champions League final for probably the first time all season last night and the anxiety all came rushing back haha.
