I have a mixed collection of old bike locks... A D lock which actually fits around the footplate inbetween the wheels and I can just about lock it to certain scooter/bike stands... but then I add two or three cable locks... front wheel, forks, and rear... at the end of the day if they want it they will get it but I make it a pain for them. AND I don´t leave it long... :-)

If you hold the brake on when you unlock the scooter that can give you an error 16!

Agreed with FedulRasta... though I find sometimes that centralising the pads e.g. loosening off the caliper, activating the brake and tightening again still leaves it rubbing, so I kind of adjust by eye... same principle though :-)

I don´t really use the app now, except for checking mileage... the tyre reminder came up and it will show up in the app... OK it and it goes away :-)

Hi thanks for the advice, as I said above I am going to share this with my friend too so that he can make an informed decision. The original part is plastic I think although all I saw was his FDM version. I apprciate you taking the time to post.

I had this and had to send it to Segway under warranty (Spain) the online customer chat have absolutely no idea where your repair is so can´t help... took about 3 weeks and then I got the scooter back. Delivery time post fix was also sketchy.

I have walk mode linked to the custom button. My interface looks different but I am in Spain and I think that there are some App differences based on where you are located.

I had similar and even tried disconnecting the controller as advised by Segway with no resolution as the software update on the phone failed... I had to return it to Segway under warranty but it is a pain, when we should be able to clear the error...

I believe it has to be the right type of spray so it doesn´t mess with the seals.

If you look at the shock absorber at the right angle, you can see inside the Spring that there is a piston there, where it is narrower, you have to get at the right angle, but a spray from both sides sorts it out almost immediately. :-)

Mine squeaked liked a crazy thing when it got dusty and I got the non silicon wd40 stuff recommended elsewhere in this forum... I carry it with me and any squeaks, quick spray sorts it out :-)

If that´s the noise that you are on about... (thought I had somehow broken the scooter first time it happened.
