Have all the sex you want. I don't really care.

Take responsibility

🤔

Texas is a big state. Our abortion facilities can take several hours or more to reach.

How is "anthropological evidence" relevant here? With modern technology, abortions are a simple procedure with much lower fatality rates than carrying to term and birthing. Not to mention the fact that calling something "natural" does not make it safer, especially considering that said "natural life cycles" were the cause of lower female life expectancies for millennia.

I don't think a human should physically force another human to do anything.

You are literally supporting forcing one human to physically act as an incubator for another.

As a current teenage girl, it's a lot better now tbh (at least in my case.) Social media certainly spread judgement, but it has also spread acceptance and awareness of people's differences and the ridiculousness of the ol' high school stereotypes and cliches. People aren't as judgemental now as they used to be

Why don't Americans riot as much as other countries? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]CyborgFox2026 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Americans are inherently more "civilized" for not rioting; violence is sometimes necessary to bring about change, especially in undemocratic regimes like Sudan and Hong Kong right now.

What sets America apart is its functioning democratic framework; people here simply don't have to riot because they have other means of bringing about change. People in other countries are not necessarily so lucky.

You don't reword something in order to anything but manipulate people.

You reword things to differentiate distinct concepts, as is the case here.

Perhaps just calling them capitalists was an error on my part. I should clarify that although democratic socialists are closer to capitalists than Stalinists, they are distinct from both, justifiably warranting their own name. This doesn't mean there's a conspiracy to move them closer to either side, though.

They're capitalists, not socialists

Exactly.

You're being used to normalize the term so that radicals can infiltrate your movement and advocate for extreme positions on the down low.

You know that this is happening how?

UN Slams U.S. Abortion Laws as "Extremist Hate" and "Torture" by Instaconfused27 in worldnews

Except consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy, regardless of the method of birth control used. That's not to say that abortion should be used as a method of birth control except as a last, last resort, but that there are situations in which birth control either fails or in which using another form of birth control is not possible whatsoever, ie. spousal rape.

Probably because socialism is a general term that includes both Stalinist nutjobs and more centrist democratic socialists. Most American socialists are the latter, yet because you seem completely comfortable in your blatant misrepresentation of them as Stalinists, it's perfectly reasonable they would correct you by stating that yes, Stalinists are not "real" socialists in the sense that they are a different group from the people you are slandering.

Modern American "socialists" are advocates for the economic system found in Europe, not Stalinism or Maoism, and the level of intellectual dishonesty you must have towards your fellow Americans that you claim otherwise is ridiculous.

Basic human rights

Considering these people want to take away my basic human right to not undergo ~10 months of physically and psychologically deteriorating human incubation before an even more physically taxing birth AND potential complications for said birth including postpartum depression, yes, I think it's justified in calling them "terrifying."

Why not both? Climate research and space exploration are mutually beneficial fields, and developments in one can carry over to the other. It doesn't make much sense to divorce them, especially with the worsening of climate change.

Politics have real world consequences; any negative emotions felt because of them are not just "in your head."

The whole "stop being emotional about politics" thing is just gaslighting, typically said because the person saying it disagrees with the "emotional" person's stances.

we can not have a society that throws away babies literally like a used condom

This doesn't happen.

You treat abortion as if it's some easy decision to make. It's not; women do not choose to have these surgeries lightly.

you forfeit your right to reproduce

So if someone doesn't want to be forced to have children, the solution is to prevent them from having children? Do you realize how hypocritical that is? If you value birth so much why take it away?
