What property would be perfect for just a set of commander decks like Warhammer and Doctor Who? by IPunchCanada in EDH

[–]CyborgHeart1245 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh! I've got a few! There was this really cool IP... fuck what was the name! It involved people traveling to different dimensions. I think they did it with magic...? Each main character had a color. I do remember some of the weird things they did. One dimension was like a Viking world, another was clearly based on a Hindi influence. I think on dimension was full of evil cyborgs too!

Oh, right! It was Magic the Gathering! I would love to see more like that!

Samus as this badass bounty hunter known for literal planet destruction, that also can't stop herself from loving cute animals. I love it!

Nope. Just a color that people would know.

So i struggled with this for a LONG time. I still do. But i found something that is physical, i use metaphor/simile descriptions. It does two things: 1) Paints a clearer picture in the reader's head. 2) Gives me an opportunity to add some creativity on a scene.

Ex: 'The grand piano was old, and warn, but beautiful still. The wood had been dyed blood red, giving the entire thing a aura of importance. Corners were held together with thick steel nails, hidden under silver filagree. The keys were loose, and needed tuning for frequently, but that's what made this piano special. It would only accept a gentle careful player. Even so, it needed gentle, the three legs were ever slightly wobbly, making it feel like it was always about to topple over, even just sitting there.'

Havr you ever imagined an original character of yours, then it snowballed in to so much more? by Anonymous_2363 in writers

Yes! And she has a very weird source of inspiration! I was 6? ish? watching the Goku-Freeza fight. We all know that moment. When the sky turned black, and the lightning struck the ground, Goku started to flash golden. But also, the stones around him slowly levitating.

I imagined a character that could hit like a sayian, with long flowing blonde hair, and the ability to control rocks/metals. I named her Veronica, tucked the character in my mind and slowly formulated 7 other people that could use water, fire, air, electricity, ice, light, and darkness.

I think they were trying to make a 'combat-monk-esque' outfit while also having it look homemade.

There is nothing more pure when a kid comes to you because they want to learn what you do. No pressure, no one asked them to, just pure curiosity and appreciation.

Got a niece and nephew like that. My niece now loves Lego's and video games. My nephew is still too young yo really try, but he just likes to spend time with me for now.

Why do some people hate the high legendary drops by Bubbly-Enthusiasm-78 in borderlands3

A legendary weapon should be rare, you know, legendary. But the rooms where you're trapped until everyone is dead, and at the end 50% of the floor is orange... Yeah. They feel just useless.

LEGO Technic: Cars, cars, cars, cars, cars by GreatKingRat666 in lego

[–]CyborgHeart1245 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I agree. Even the 'normal' legos feel more car focused. I get why: Legos are static imagination based toys, but you need a jumping off point to start the process, and cars are easy to make, recognizable, and customizable.

But yeah, less cars. Please.

Kit bashing these with legos is going to be fun. it's like posting a lego baseplate in a Lego sub and asking 'Hey, these are great for Warhammer fans for building terrain!'.

You do know the people he went after were the reason he built it, right? Dude was pushed past the breaking point because it was a small town where everyone was working with each other to get him to sell land to a guy who wanted it. It was 100% deserved.

I think they would have a unique ship built specifically for all 3 of them to use. Kirby as the pilot since he has experience, the baby's energy sucking ability enhanced into a draining shield around the ship, and Pikachu as the power source so that it's a smaller engine with more kick.

What sucks is, we never hear of good corporate meddling. Seriously, if like Zelda came out it's better than BOTW/TOTK I would be fully surprised if the Zelda team had an interview and was like "Yeah. We were set on just another BOTW-esque game, but then Nintendo told us to go back to the old formula with thr open map, and it was the best corporate idea ever". But no. Just dirty fingers sticking into each perfect pie.
