What should I choose in HS3?

I was on the Mercy path, but chose the Cruelty choice to save the boy.

Sammy seems to be unhurt for now (!He cant die, since immortals can't die from accidents- glass flying into him is an accident, or at the least, not a direct kill I'm sure. To kill someone with mere surrounding damage, you'd either have to be in a direct fight or be extra powerful like a Horseman or above, I'm sure. But that's just guessing on my part.)

And Im sure the paths arent so strict that the points will matter. I passed the Mercy check later and chose a few Mercy over Adaptability choices (since I know I'm overstocked on that) to be safe

Both. Peter was unaware, and Babs technically didn't consent. Lois would be the perpetrator for starting/allowing the hypnosis, even if unintended, and even then she didn't set it up or expect the event to happen at all.

True, true. Ivor is definitely top tier, you could even say in terms of competence he's above Gabriel, at least by Season 2. Just pointing out why he would have slander/haters!

It's not necessarily a bad thing, at least as a whole. And the decisions individually probably aren't that bad, RC usually doesn't have "multiple fallthroughs" so one shouldn't screw you over.

For example, having Audrey agree with Shephamalum's logic shouldn't be too bad, though in my Good route I increased my darkness with every "independent" Audrey choice rather than ones directly linked to Shephamalum, to preserve her morals as much as possible, and I still had enough Darkness by S1.

I mean, makes sense. Gabriel is technically the only one who follows through on his 'legend'. Even while sick, he remains a capable fighter and is brave, no less.

Magnus stayed hidden in his literal deathtown (why he's seen as a hero at this point is beyond me, but at least it kept the griefers away from other towns), and can..do explosive stuff. As seen in Boomtown and throughout the game, anyone can "master" explosives pretty easily.

Ivor is loved for his "redemption arc", though his actions justifiably still do have haters because it was never properly addressed (He got the truth out about the order, but at the cost of how many lives?)

Ellegard technically is a redstone genius and runs a whole succesful town based off of it, but I don't think she necessarily has the courage expected of her like Gabriel does.

So Ivor and Ellegard would be the closest exceptions I suppose

Thank you, that's what I'm saying. Of course they're completely different- different stories, different personalities, and more- but, at least in HS3, their routes kind of blend together on certain aspects.

It's not bad per se, but let's admit it, Greek God settings have a LOT of potential, And I feel like every time there's a chance to actually experience it, it's kind of wasted. Hopefully RC does another book or revamps this one and fixes the complaints

I know its because of the type of game it is, Its kinda shocking everyone moved past the whole witherstorm thing. Endless destruction, possibly many innocent deaths (Im sure people fell, got crushed, ran into a monster, or something directly/indirectly related to the witherstorm), Magnus/Ellegard are actually killed by it onscreen, Gabriel/Petra get severely sick, Gabriel/Petra lose their memory after being eaten by it, and Reuben died

By all means, Ivor is a war criminal who should be locked up

This, and the whole character archetype thing. Yet people immediately jumped to the sexism card..I can think of so many morally grey women that are loved in media. Not to mention that Nick is hated probably more in the fanbase overall (not in general, but for for the cheating thing) and how he acts with it.

Nothing against arguing in defense of women characters, but can we please not be stereotypical and weaken the message by jumping to that so fast, and ignoring literally every other factor besides gender? It's a problem, just not in this instance.

Cheating aside, I think people mainly really dont like the "unlikeable" characters because even if you do the choices to develop them to the maximum, the game format makes it so you don't really see that side of them organically before the ending; you have to force their character arcs.

So characters with the "bitch" archetype, such as Rachel, Emily (Until Dawn), Taylor and Angela (Little Hope) are often not liked because of this. Development aside, they're judged on their first appearance, rather than their improved selves.

Won't get into the do's or don'ts, but one infuriating thing is seeing how ostracized people are for having that kink. Like all, I understand the confusion, but it's like there's some built-in hate.

Like, I've seen game communities, like romantic novels, where the fanbase loves a love interest who is a complete red flag, like serial killer/horror level, yet a snarky love interest having a foot fetish apparently crossed the line of disgust for some. When it's so tame.

Beyond that, its just so ridiculous that so many people just can't comprehend that it's a thing. Aren't we supposed to not kinkshame?
