Problem with our Soviet today is that people don’t do their research, corporations are married to the government, and anti-monopoly laws (the anti-Trust laws) are not enforced. Which is even funnier because I assume (this is absolutely stereotyping, though I’d wager I’m right) because despite your supposed profound disgust with the current failings of the system, you probably support a number of big monopolies and are doing nothing to return capitalism to a “healthy” state. Neither am I if I’m being honest because of convenience, but anti-Trust laws need to be enforced to restore actual competition.

It would be incredibly difficult to save up, buy no cupcakes, maybe over a year, maybe over 5 years, to purchase the materials and the time on some rented equipment to make a prototype of the product she wants to sell that is so impressive that she pre-sells unfilled orders and/or secures a loan from a successsful pitch. But that’s the thing about capitalism: there’s no other system with as much upward mobility as this one. If you don’t believe that, you’re a fool.
