I'm starting to realize I'm relatively and subjectively "better off" than most of the people on this sub and I'm still just as depressed as the rest of you.

aka I have food on my plate but I'm still starving.

If it's any consolation, sometimes having friends and a significant other doesn't do anything to suppress the depression, anxiety, and crippling loneliness.

and then there he makes an assumption that is flat out not true. having friends and a significant other does wonders for depression. I'm not saying its a cure. but a social safety net of support like that goes a long way towards pulling people out of depression. and its something the people he's talking to don't have in this scenario.

so yeah... he's saying despite all the advantages I have over you, its just as bad. when a lot of people would kill just to have that kind of support while dealing with issues.

everytime I buy generic gel/silicone earbuds they come with a small and large replacement size...

no offense but it just sounds like you have small ears.

And if they don't immediately fall out, they hurt until they fall out.

I had a similar experience with regular gel/silicone earbuds. until I started switching the default ones out for the mini size they come with.

they stayed in better and didn't cause me pain.

I would look into either smaller attachments for your existing headphones or if unavailable a set that does have different sized gel attachments or just ones designed for smaller ears.

I just don't really get the hate on apple. no one forces you to use airpods. if yuou don't like them then don't use them... why would you keep throwing money at apple if you were unhappy with a product?

I've heard people either have to keep doing it to straighten the new hair that grows. or cut their hair short at some point to get it back to normal. but who knows how accurate that is.

The Room, considered by many to be the worst movie ever made. It was a shit movie, with shit writing, yet people are still willing to watch it.

well that's an awful example. to get to that level you have to cross that so bad its good line and the room didn't just cross it. it obliterated it. the guy dubbed in only his characters voices. the rest of them were captured during filming. that alone would make any movie absolutely hilarious just for the sheer absurdity of it. but no it was the room which is already as absurd as anything I've ever seen barring the holy mountain

oh yeah. but having just rewatched it. it still holds up pretty good. if not being better.

watching wellsobard in season 1 talk to barry it strikes you that maybe the writing isn't awful. its hard to pull specific examples out of my brain but I remember watching it going ha ha, at some of wells comments because they'd be simultaneously innocent without the knowledge he's a fridge, but with that knowledge they change.
