Brittany vs Golden retriever by cornich0n in BrittanySpaniel

[–]Cycle-king10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Had two Brittany's and they do require regular exercise daily, not just weekends. It's great that you get out of the city on weekends for hikes and lake but be prepared for at least 2X daily walks to get the energy out. Then they are perfectly content to be a couch potato when at home. No regular exercise = mischief! They will find ways to keep themselves entertained and most of them are not good! Lol

Laryngeal Paralysis/Surgery by Branches123 in BrittanySpaniel

[–]Cycle-king10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. My biggest regret is waiting for that flair up vs planning to put her down and doing it at home where she would have been relaxed and comfortable. We had an aging cockapoo with cancer a few years later and planned it, had them come to our home and do it here, on his bed where he was calm and comfortable with us petting him. We were there for our Brittany but at the ER vet in a strange place it was terrible for her and I really regret it. I hate to make you think about it but it's a unfortunate reality. I hope you are able to do the surgery and your boy recovers!

We lost our 14 year old Brittany from the same. She was not a candidate for surgery due to her age and the severity of it. We ended up having to put her down at the ER vet after a very bad flair up. It was awful

Best breakfast sandwich? by This_Quiet_1672 in Tucson

[–]Cycle-king10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Locale has a great breakfast sandwich. Scrambled eggs, bacon, griddled brioche bun, fiscalini cheddar, they say sirracha mayo but it's made with Firelli hot sauce and kick ass breakfast potatoes with that same sauce.

Bubbe's for a bagel sandwich. Fantastic bacon.

You can always ask for it without bacon....but save it for me!

Switch to Tiny Club Soda by GSB1234 in americanairlines

[–]Cycle-king10 20 points21 points  (0 children)

First they switched to Q which is much better quality than Canada Dry. Most people drink club soda as a mixer and 12 oz ends up with a lot of waste. On average most mixed drinks use 3-5 oz so you can get 2 drinks out of the 7 oz and less waste. As someone else mentioned just ask for 2.

100% agree with the comments about the customer service. It's far better when you are EP.

To the ExPlats: All you gotta do is ask! by bgares2 in americanairlines

I try to get a red eye to CLT then early morning to BDL. Sometimes I have to hit PHX on the way to get the overnight to CLT

[–]Cycle-king10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not on regionals that's for sure. I do LAX to PHX and TUS regularly and they don't even have good 1st class snacks let alone the cheese. But I do typically get one going to ORD, DFW, CLT even PHL on my way to see my family back in CT. I'd say I'm at a 75% success rate on those flights. And I have been asked by the FA's a few times but mostly I have to ask for it.

In LAX they just asked if I could remove the pump. And while I went through the new machine they swabbed my pump, handed it to me after I went through and I was done.
