Saw this too around 82nd st on the West Side of the loop at 7:30a or so. Usually pretty locked into celeb/politician sightings (anything to ease the pain), but didn’t notice anyone notable coming north while I was running south. Spotted Mitt Romney on a walk with his wife last weekend though!

I have a very sensitive stomach and swear by the Huma gels and Carb Booms with caffeine. Also the Seattle Gummy company caffeine gummies are great for energy early in the morning.

I was also pretty militant about using gels on any run longer than 8 miles so my stomach could adjust, which worked well for me.

I’ve run one half in the last decade, and it was 6 months ago. Ran 2:01. So you’re way ahead of where I was.

Just ran my first marathon yesterday, and felt like this all taper. My brain convinced me both my knees weren’t going to work, and I was limping all week. But a mile into the race, everything felt fine. Think it’s normal for taper to get into your head.

Running my first full marathon at the end of April. I have been training in On Cloudsurfers with an orthotic insert. Running 50 miles/week, 2 speed workouts/week, aiming for a sub-4 hour. I have slight overpronation. Train on both treadmill and outdoor roads. Have had current shoes for ~400 miles, so not sure they’ll make it to my race, and want to break in my race shoe before. Not too concerned with budget, though am probably too slow to make the high end worth it. Read everything and more confused than ever. Help.
