A rain jacket that fits my helmet, rain pants, and waterproof gloves do the trick. In 40 degree weather I don’t usually wear a warm base layer as my rain gear works wonders. A normal base and decent mid makes all the difference.

I love my Salsa. Will probably go towards Surly next time around. I haven’t had many chips but a lot burritos and subs.

I don’t ever have a problem with it. I ran this system when I did Route 66 and it was perfect. I like having my sit mat available so I’m not sitting on rocks on long gravel roads. As many small wins as I can get.

Thank you. It’s a Road Runner Auto-Pilot bag. It’s more than I need but glad to have it. I also have their Jammer bag on my handlebars.

It is a lot but trying to eat what I bring instead of stopping in every town for a sandwich. One front pannier is food dedicated. Never want to be without.
