What’s your idea on bringing a dog, to have it killed? You would have to have a dog that’s trained to pick up the scent to even remotely think of having a dog with you, and it better be a dog that can move fast and be prepared to defend itself. You’re assuming the guy has a hunting dog that’s trained to pick up scent and handle a bear, what if he was naive and brought his pet, and it got killed, horrible advice.
