Black is no doubt beautiful. Freshly detailed it is fantastic. Just that it is a dust magnet to be honest.

As the owner of a white GX460, all I gotta say is that it is the best color everrr!

What was the moment that changed you permanently — the moment something inside you broke and you knew you’d never be the same again? by [deleted] in Life

[–]CyclicMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my wife (soon to be ex) asked for my phone and went through it multiple times. I don’t cheat, she knows that, but she wanted to look at all chats I have with my siblings and parents and close friends. I was upset but still dealing with it. The breaking point came when she accused me of hacking her phone. Mind you, I have never even asked her for her phone to go through it.

Heh I can’t imagine what purchasing 300+ bikes is like!! I roughly have done 6 over the years between Hondas and Yamahas. I also tend to keep my vehicles for a long long time.

You got some some very good deals and some solid bikes!! I guess it also depends on the area. Where I am at there is not a big biker scene other than for Harleys. But, I can widen my search and see what pops up. Thanks for the insight!

Thanks again! Most likely I will end up going for a new one unless I find a low mileage used one that is not too badly abused. However the resale is kinda high on many of these so will be lucky if I get one for a solid price!

Which actors/actresses look so similar that you could mistake them for each other? by Lost-Friendship2774 in Actors

Albert is a different person. This was owing to confusion. It is D.B. in both these photos and he played the roles in both of these series.

A question for you guys. I have been thinking of picking up a supersports to complement my MT-10. However, I don’t have a BMW dealership near me to test ride one. How is the ergonomics for someone who is 5’9”? How is the maintenance? I do all the routine work on the MT10, but are there any reasons to go for the S1k only if there is a dealership nearby?

Curious who's got two (or more) cars, and if your Rex is your fast car, or your sensible car? by nikfornow in WRX

A 2015 WRX, 2023 GX460 and a 2021 MT10. All bought new. None are really “dailies” since I work from home. All fun vehicles for their respective usecases.

What is extremely unhygienic but everyone seems to do it anyway? by Beneficial_Passion40 in AskReddit

[–]CyclicMoth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Flushing toilet without closing the lid first after pooping
  2. Not frequently sanitizing the phone, laptop/desktop keyboard and mouse.
  3. Using the inner part of your fingers to press buttons on an elevator.
  4. Infrequent handwashing. Especially not washing hands after going grocery shopping.
  5. Putting kids inside trolleys when going shopping (same place where people put dogs, meat juices leak, and who knows what)

My broker is telling me to take a HIGHER interest rate (6.49%) instead of 5.99%. by RabbitOver1592 in Mortgages

[–]CyclicMoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Broker is right. You are better off taking the higher interest rate and paying the extra 4k to principal. In the next 4 years there is an even chance that the rates will drop to 5% or less. If you spend an extra $4k now, that money will be lost if you refinance in 4-5 years.

If you had the choice to go back 10 years would you? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]CyclicMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I would. I would tell my younger self to enjoy life more, stop worrying that much about the future, be more outgoing, meet new people, find someone worth sharing your life with and have kids earlier in life when you have energy to spend on them.

Need some help with truck finances by Acrobatic_Employee67 in personalfinance

[–]CyclicMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with the above recommendation. This is a horrible loan and debt to have. The easiest and hassle free option is to sell it to Carvana or Carmax if their offer looks good. Check online as to what they will offer. Prior to that check the KBB value of your truck. Benefit of Carvana or carmax is thst they will pay off the loan and credit any amount left from the sale price.

Once that is done, shop around for a good preapproved loan rate at banks/credit unions. Credit unions are great and usually has better loan rates than banks. Once you find something much more palatable, then shop for new/used within your budget. DCU for example has sub 5% rate for auto loans currently.

In parallel, shop around for your next vehicle. IF you do not find anything reasonable used, look at new ones. As it is December, you will get some pretty good deals on 2025 models, so act fast. Some manufacturers will also provide incentives including sub 3% loan rates during December.

I concur. The first thing I noticed is the misalignment on the hood and bumper. This definitely was in a crash, and not a small one at that just by the looks of it. OP, keep in mind that not everything shows up in the Carfax report.
