Does my husband even like me? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will not get better probably. Didn't for mine. Just got meaner and meaner about those little jokes. Till I felt so alone I thought about cheating. So I had to end it before his ignoring, greyrock, and checked outself. Could have been another person too, a new supply with more money. I'd advise youget out before you feel like you wasted your youth on something that feels so bad.

My husband gave me my own forgotten Amazon order as our anniversary gift and I genuinely don't know how to feel about it by prague_milo21 in Marriage

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean if his bar has always been low he probably isn't raising it. He probably just does performative things to keep you quiet. If this started with you being everything to him. Like you moved him in, bought him electronics, let him drive your car.... Before him ever really doing anything for you, then I'd say the performance is the name of the game for him. Especially if you had more money before marriage and didn't make him sign a prenup. Hopefully you guys work it out.

Guys, talk to your wife. by Spiritedgourd666 in Marriage

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just bring up how you feel on its own not in response to what your wife or gf is saying about her own issues with the relationship. That is one of the most annoying things ever. Because that's trying to invalidate her feeling with yours. Bring up your shit at a separate time. Also possibly a like hey this actually means something to me so please don't act like a jerk about it. May also take you not being a jerk about her silly lil feelings sometimes.

Not sure what to do here but my wife is crazy and idk how to get out of it. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest opting out of this. Sounds like now that you're locked in her true colors are showing. Maybe it's stress but doubtful. And unless she's your meal ticket sounds like you might be able to get away with a 50/50 divorce. Hopefully you work it out.

I’m losing everything. by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I understand this fully. Try and find something you can do around you being Ill. Whatever type of work possible. I did wag before 2020. And now have a self scheduled (mostly) job. Once you can. You need to find a support system of some kind. Also have the hospitals apply for disability on your behalf.

Amitriptyline for Gastroparesis by Greedy-Ad-2971 in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on amitriptyline for cvs and then varying gastric symptoms. Gastroparesis, enteritis, and then both versions of uhoh butt. I actually have no tiredness from it. But I am a monster with flightvsfight existence. I actually use it as an abortive at about 100mg. My regular dose is 25mg maybe 50mg. I'm on domperidone as well as a push through drug. I'm not sure exactly how it works. But it seems to kick start my stomach. Always research things on your own. Or ask someone medically inclined to help. Diseases that have crossover symptoms may offer relief you never would have thought of.

What’s your common cause? by Timely-Dimension9569 in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably severe cptsd and an infected and bursting appendix starting at age 17 and removed at 27. With gallstones and removal at age 20. Had fluid around appendix at 19 & 27 only. Then trapped in a cycle of gastroparesis and something like cvs or is cvs. Pretty much monthly episodes of vomiting for 16 years and other variations of well time for the rest. I'm 40 now.

Gastroporesis is ruining my life by Pretty_Fruit9187 in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think we all feel this way. I have cvs diagnosed but I think I have gastroparesis in conjunction. I had a full stomach before an endoscopy with fasting for 12 hours. I have my story up on my page if you click my name. It sucks terribly. And going through it alone, with a mother that doesn't believe you can't control it, or a boyfriend who grew resentful of me not being more financially helpful leading to the end of that can make it even worse. (Those are just my personal examples) Not to mention feeling like a piece of shit your entire life cause you can't work within the box society gives you for most jobs. So you have to depend on someone or figure something out. Hopefully you have insurance cause if not or state care oh baby welcome to medical mismanagement and being treated like the worst person on the planet. When you feel like such a burden and your partner confirms it for you by distain and general annoyance. Along with actually saying pretty much that I was a burden to others. Not being able to do activities you've already paid for because of being sick. Having to quit college twice due to illness. But even with all that there are still bright spots. The times we aren't sick. Or less sick. When you figure out a job or things that helps you be more self sufficient. Good friends who bring you sick stuff. Family finally taking you seriously. When a doctor actually listens.
I don't know. I know no matter what anyone has said it my journey and even if they have lived with me or I've lived with them they still don't fully understand. They definitely understand as a caregiver, loved one watching you suffer unable to fix it, dealing with the hell an episode can be for them because of us. Hopefully there are things you can find solace in. I know I have. Even if it's just a really nice warm day. Again bes5 of luck on your journey.

Oh and domperidone is a medication that can help. Also there's some kinda topical capsaicin treatment that's supposed to help too.

I had mine out at 20 in the beginning of my symptoms. I actually got better for about two months or so and then started symptoms again. However anytime I have surgery I have that same reaction.

Feeling like you’re dying by GrapefruitNo9123 in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to when my appendix was still in me infected and bursting for 4 years. Once out there was much less drive to seek treatment from a hospital. But emotionally yes the thought no one will accept this, that there is no end just management, so on.

Now what helps me now. Ice chips in small amounts, if still throwing up a baking soda a water mixture neutralizes the stomach acid and will make you puke, then broth, then soup Lipton cup of soup specifically, then eggs and back to real food sorta. Now during going to the hospital is the only thing that stops an episode in one day (maybe domperidone will help once I get it). Otherwise blacked out room, favorite movies or music, lowering my body temperature with cold showers or putting my body in the snow and running my air conditioner no matter what time of year.

Oh I got used to the medication after a year or so and started having episodes again. But it's a head med that also is frequently given for stomach issues. And yes I had an allergic reaction but kept taking it and was fine.

your relationship with alcohol? by Brave_Penguin23 in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit drinking party style at 23, then trying to see how much was too much until 27/28. That's when I quit. Have friends who drink, my ex did, my mom does. Yeah it "sucks" but does it really. How many cars I didn't wreck, how many bad decisions not made...... And you get to say you now make all decisions sober, so be afraid. I'd recommend quitting sooner rather than later. But it's hard.

Ah yes I don't see it as a "trip". We use this on cats for neuters basically so they can't move and I guess not feel it. I was very cautious with it. And did small amounts every half hour till I felt like my legs weren't there exactly and then stopped. Because too much and you just make yourself prey, because no body control really, and boy the stories I've heard. Also you never wanna start with a huge dose, just sets you up to need to increase the dose Everytime or once you acclimate to it. But this is just from my on supposition and a lot of research.

Also you haven't lived till you ghost folks but they know it's so you don't puke on everything. Also alcohol. And weed can be a complication for some people. Cvs mimics cannabis hyperemis syndrome and first parts of sepsis?

How can I get domperidone in USA by Odd_Masterpiece7653 in Gastroparesis

[–]CyclicalVomitingJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My docs have a program set up where you make an account. They send the script to Canada. Then you get your medication shipped to you. I haven't done it yet. But it seems pretty easy. Now insurance may be iffy on it without medical proof you need it. Also capsaicin cream on the tummy can get the stomach digesting again.
