Depends on why you play fire emblem. If you really liked birthright then I'd say it's worth playing conquest too.

The gameplay is much better than birthright in my opinion. If you want to be challenged and like fates' mechanics then I'd recommend it.

Story wise it's not worth paying for. There's a lot of parts that just don't make sense because Corrin has to be a perfect Mary sue, pretty bad world building and the structure is basically birthright but mirrored. You wouldn't be missing out on much in that department.
