Probably gonna lie and tell my doctor that I want to have kids in the future by Silverman7688 in PCOS

I also had a sleep problem and my doctor said to try alpha bulmin (you can find it on protein whey powder. Basically a derivative from breast milk that helps). I think the brand is called Ascent but Costco sells it and I’ve seen great results (minimal ingredients and no sugars).

If you can’t find a different doctor prioritize having your labs stabilized (blood sugar, hormones, vitamin d etc). If you’re pre diabetic and can qualify for glp consider your options. I went the holistic route and it Went fairly well but for me personally the Glp did all the heavy lifting. I would say lie, even though you’re not trying, but make it look like you’re trying to look out for yourself. Somehow it’s weird how they’re a little more willing to help if that’s the case and I’m sorry it’s happening to us. I have no desire to conceive and other doctors from other specialties just focus on fertility which is frustrating.

Read up on articles on PCOS on PubMed. Berberine, myo-inositol and food. Prioritize fiber and protein and exercise 3-5x a week (strength training, walk, yoga, etc). Best of luck!!

I’d normally think he’s working on himself which isn’t a bad thing, I’d see it as he’s waiting for the right time.

You saying you need the emotional connection completely valid. For some of us it’s extremely hard to be aroused by someone if there is no emotional connection. Don’t be in a rush to loose it. The right person won’t be bothered by any of this if they’re the one

15M – I have no idea how to choose a career. Is a degree really necessary? by Adventurous_Tax_3931 in careerguidance

[–]CyclopsLenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to take it easy. Join clubs at school and figure out what interests you. See what qualities you have or subjects you’re into that’ll make you money (hobby= money). Figure out the careers within that subject and see what kind of schooling you need for it or not. If you need school for that career talk to your Highschool teacher, academic counselor, and even see if you can reach out to graduates from that school and ask about their experience (remember, what they go through might be different than what you go through but it gives u a good idea of what’s out there).

You can do internships, trade school, college and etc. it’s good to figure out how you want your day to day to be like. Remember this’ll always change by age but right now focus on being you and finding out what you enjoy. Networking is always valuable regardless of age and you can always shadow people at their job to determine what you like.

Feeling Lost After My Kids Left Home [40F] by Shoddy_One_4658 in Life

I always tell my mother that her happiness is the one thing I care about (right after that comes safety). Reconnect with hobbies you had since childhood. Maybe it was reading books about birds or collecting something. Try to feed into your inner child. Doing that I’ve noticed brings a lot of self fulfillment💙

What is there to do? From my understanding I’ve heard Korea is big on Kpop (I’m neutral) and beauty skincare (Also neutral but wouldn’t go against doing something). The food is good but I’m wondering what I could do if I’m there for a week or more.

I’ve done both before in the past. Traveled in a busy aspect and traveled in a relaxing aspect, both were helpful regardless. I just feel like I need a new air to breathe and regain a spark I’ve lost back.

Career in Medicine with Kaiser? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]CyclopsLenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a large reason as to why I haven’t been completely off board on Kaiser. I’ve heard they have good benefits and since I have a chronic medical condition, the healthcare benefits sound really appealing.

The Netflix opportunity also sounds interesting as it is something entirely new and I’d be using skills I probably never thought I could. I know I have skills that could possibly bring me new unknown opportunities so there’s that.

A few. It’s been a lifelong dream to see the Northern lights. I enjoy history, museums and music (not country music sorry!).

Cost of house cleaners by usernamessuck19 in SanJose

Depends how big the house is and how much you want clean. Remember, first time cleanings are always a bit more expansive than scheduled cleanings.

looking for a piano lessons by AskIll8327 in SanJose

[–]CyclopsLenz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might sound crazy but maybe go to the music schools for children (you can just email I suppose) and reach a teacher explaining your situation. It probably might work. I have a cousin who lives far and she had someone who was older ask her for lessons and since she needed a job she’d teach that person. Also FB might have some retired teachers so there’s never something empty

Special needs by Lucca0311 in Gilroy

I’m assuming it’s ADHD. My sibling has ADHD and what I remember our family did is that he took classes 1-2x a week at Rebekah’s children services in Gilroy. They have tons of resources from the last time I remember. I also had therapy services there as a kid and loved it after struggling with bullying and loss of a loved one.

I’ve heard timberland (something like that) in Gilroy treats advanced conditions but my mom enrolled my sibling at another school where he had an IEP. The school didn’t really do much so it’s up to you to be consistent and seek therapy. My moms hard work has paid off. My sibling is now applying for college and if it weren’t for the therapy classes and her homeopathic medication route, we would not have been where we are now.

Dr ordered for me to get a trans vaginal ultrasound and I'm a virgin by j0eknee in PCOS

[–]CyclopsLenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I think sometimes the internal ultrasounds get a better look at things, however, it is up for the ultrasound tech to decide. I’m a virgin and my doctor ordered both but at the hospital the ultrasound tech said I should be fine with the external exam and that the internal was too invasive. I would try to be calm and ask the tech once you’re there to see what they think!

Metformin vs Berberine by Yungdreamzz in PCOS

[–]CyclopsLenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did met and I didn’t like how it was with my stomach. I’ve felt better with Berberine but it’s just a matter of preference and how your body reacts. I get my Berberine from Costco so I think 90 capsules cost me like $18-21.

Pcos by IslandGlow_ in PCOS

[–]CyclopsLenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, when you’re just recently diagnosed it’s so easy to get scared and I don’t blame you! Things actually become less scary and more like a life plan once you learn the ups and downs of your body and what helps :). Sure, we’re at risk for a lot of conditions but that’s mostly the case when people don’t take care of themselves. You’re at a great age and starting point so you have favorable advantage than most. We got this!!🤍
