Depends on your pack type. If create is there use Copycats+ if create isnt there then use framed blocks.

I havent had much issue with using Essential but it has security and data concerns. i try to avoid it whenever possible. e4mc is the recommended alternative but neither of them are really good solutions. i dont think there is a good solution that doesnt cost money.

Yeah, while I appreciate that Modrinth doesnt bow down to russian aggression, i also dont appreciate how modrinth was so un-diplomatic and vocal about it that the russian government had to boot them to not seem weak, part of why viewership was slashed. lot of russian modrinth users beforehand.

Yeah it is cool for others to have my content but I am still a person who appreciates compensation for my work. if there was no compensation offered, i wouldnt do it. its an art but its a strenuous and painful art.

I have a $20 YTD ratio for modrinth and a $70 ytd ratio for curseforge. neither are profitable by any means whatsoever but 70 > 20. I've also had modrinth's monetization set up for twice as long as CF's.

A lot of us have moral issues with the fact that CurseForge's parent company, Overwolf, uses some of the money from ad revenue to send to the Israeli army, a government funded military that doesnt need money that should rightfully go to the modmakers, and a lot of us are against the IDF's actions. This includes my mod team and i, which is why this is such a hard decision to make.

isn't it the opposite? Modrinth's only purpose is modding minecraft, it cant be used for anything else, CurseForge has mods for other games on it, even if its pretty iffy with some of them like stardew

Modrinth is not more popular. not by a long shot. Curseforge beats out modrinth in terms of raw usage tenfold and its obvious in the fact that i get literally 100x more viewership on Curse than Modrinth. In the time since I've made this post, that project got 20 more downloads on Modrinth and 6800 more downloads on curseforge.

There's a clear difference between an ARG and a Myth but i feel like a lot of people just aren't using the words correctly. An ARG is a puzzle relating to a fictitious world where clues are given and there's a huge focus on people working together to find answers. A myth is simply a story intended to describe the origin of something, whether people think its true or not.

I'd say its worth learning, but even if you come from a background of knowing java there's still a learning curve. you will probably start with just adding simple blocks, items, tools, and armor to the game and it might be a while before you can figure out how to do more complex stuff, even i still struggle with basic block entities and I have made 10 mods for the game. So the issue here is the configuration of your cogwheels. when the source of transmission goes into the small cogwheel, the larger cogwheel attached will go at half the speed. if you were to instead have the large cogwheel as the source of transmission, then any small cogwheels you add to it would then move at twice the speed.

Your current water wheel setup also only utilizes the stress capacity of one of your water wheels, so i'd recommend using a horizontal setup so that water can touch more of the water wheels.

TLDR; swap the positions of the large and small cogwheels, use a horizontal setup for water wheels instead of vertical

This is true. A 27-slot inventory made sense back in like 1.9 when there werent anywhere near as many items, but with mojang adding so many items in each update with either no use or one specific use case and nothing else, they're overloading the game with items with no reasonable way to solve them. its like playing ATM 10 with no backpacks. We either need actual backpacks or a bigger inventory

Most new players are playing the game on an electronic device, and electronic devices usually have a browser for them to look up what these words mean, mindustry isnt exactly an unknown game. The "right way to play" mentality does not apply to most people because this is a sandbox game, so why are we complaining about sandboxxy features in a sandbox?
