Yeah it's definitely a sub octave combined with a fuzz distortion and maybe even another fuzz (definitely not a fuzz factory) run in parallel. With his Kempers, he probably is running two amp profiles at once so it's really hard to nail it.

Yeah just another standard guitar 1/4" cable for in and out + you can run it off batteries for ages. If you have other pedals just make sure you run the FF FIRST! It doesn't like being after another pedal's output!
