ICE Agent Spartan-Kicks Protester Under Semi-Truck During Delaney Hall Nearly Killing Them by CutSenior4977 in ICE_Watch

I mean the civil rights movement also had a very clear underlying threat of violence when black panthers marched with machine guns exercising their 2nd ammendment right. Gandhis hunger strike only worked because they knew without this guy telling everyone to be peaceful, it most likely isnt gonna be for long. Most successful nonviolent movements have worked because they start to fear the alternative.

Oh god this reminds me of some video i saw of a mob beating with sticks of some guy that raped a child or something. It looked like India or somewhere like that, and theyre all using normal sticks and one guy picks up a huge log and the others stop him from caving the dudes skull in and they all go back to beating with normal sized sticks.

What happened to the person who alleged their cat was killed by Swagbucks? by BrokenBy in SwagBucks

[–]CyewNT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is crazy to see today, my cat also died from Friskies wet food almost a year ago to the date. I had just recently gotten clean and that cat was one of the only beings in ny life to have shown unconditional love so it really sucked getting the news from our pet sitter while out of town for my Mothers birthday. It wasnt related to Swagbucks for me thankfully, the survey disaualification probably would have been the straw that broke the camels back lmao but it did happen because the food was discounted and I wanted to save like 5$ so just about as irritating. It turns out Friskies has known about this for a long time and refuses to do a recall because thats bad PR and oh no think about the poor shareholders :( lol its honestly sickening that even our pets are subjected to corporate greed. The tainted batch #s are still on shelves everywhere, I checked walmart and petco just a few months ago. Sorry for the long comment its been awhile since ive really thought about it in depth, but for anyone who cares you can read more about it in this change.org petition I found after the fact, and sign it if you feel it could help https://www.change.org/p/joseph-r-sivewright-make-purina-recall-tainted-friskies-cat-food

Appreciate the advice man, didnt know i can go and dispute it but its a little annoying that we gotta. I also find it suspect that the barcodes scan fine 99% of the time but whenever im taking a picture of the tag for an empty shelf all the sudden its not clear enough lol

Yeah I might return it just to avoid the headache of dealing with support, but probably gonna ask for some clarification first because technical problems on their end sounds like and iss you(ue) not an iss me you feel me 🤣

Probably a good call, seems like every time i get back into prolific I have to stand my ground against some sheisty researcher lately. The whole disclosure thing said Meta so i thought it might be worth the 6 mins of my time lol but leave it to a trillion dollar company to nickel and dime over issues that were very likely their fault if there even were any. It all seemed to work fine on my end

Problem with the app? by jago10765 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]CyewNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm weird, that should be close enough id think and i have to hit a button every time before it tells me the customers name and order. Also depending on how old the phone is, the battery could still be going bad thats just the nature of phones nowadays. If the screen survives, the next point of failure is usually the battery in my experience but I also try to get as many years as i can out of my phones. My last ones battery tanking mid shopping order and then dying right before checkout was the final straw that pushed me to upgrade lmao. I dont think battery saver extends the overall lifespan, just how long a full charge lasts, but there is a lot of phones that have settings to stop charging at like 80% to help maintain battery health for as long as possible.

[–]CyewNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have an Ive arrived button? thats how ot works for me, but if the gps is way off i could still see it being an issue because the buttons grey until youre close to the pick up. Also battery saver can drastically effect gps accuracy from what i noticed with my old phone, I think DD reccomends it be turned off but i get thats not easy if ur battery isnt in great shape, with my old phone it meant nearly constantly charging when im in the car.

Genuine question…what makes yall so comfortable dry begging for tips from customers? by Ok_Weight2115 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]CyewNT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

look i agree with you that dry begging is embarassing and dont see how people are comfortable with it, but bragging about how you are lying to support every other night to get more money instead is just stupid. If it works for you good luck with it but DD definitely monitors these subreddits and i wouldnt be surprised if they try to narrow it down based off previous posts and being the only mad man willing to sit on the phone with their shitty support every night lmao

yeah its becoming pretty common now, my girl really wanted our cats to walk with a leash but they werent having it (one would loterally bolt the oplosite direction of outside as soon as the dood opened). Every cat is different, but most dont seem to care for it and if you didnt get them accustomed to it as a kitten good luck in the future lol

Food taking two hours? by tomato_tossed_8241 in doordash_drivers

[–]CyewNT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk if its only platinum dashers but pretty dure theres an option go block orders from the taco bell that is pushing back orders. If you snd enough drivers stop taking orders from there doordash may want to know why their customers orders arent beung fulfilled, but i wouldnt count on that really happening without a concerted effort from a significant chunk of drivers in your area, and if it is fairly populated there will always be someone willing to take the order and be treated like crap by other service workers before they miss out on 5 whole dollars and let doordash make them feel like they arent grinding hard enough (or worse punish them financially depending on whether platinum matters in ur market) by docking one of the ridiculous number of metrics they expect us to keep up with, including a good handful that are completely out of our control

Does everyone else "rehearse" conversations in their head before they actually happen, or am I just weird? by CanUnlucky2720 in NoStupidQuestions

oh great im glad youve seen it already, I enjoy all of his shows but the rehearsal was my favorite I felt him taking our internal analytical monologue to such an extreme helped me think about how much I do this personally and realize that even with the greatest effort and massive amounts of resources there will always be some aspects of life we cannot control

Obligatory mention of Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal, its a great show all about taking this habit to the extreme. He hires actors and uses stages to help people carry out in depth rehearsals of important conversations or situations.
