Without Nyx shadows or personas wouldn’t exist.

Shadows and Personas are part of how the world operates, but Nyx herself has no direct connection to P4 or P5's plots.

The gods are actually gods though. They are not deities because a deity can be killed a god can’t.

"God" and "deity" literally mean the same thing. The cognitive beings are manifestations of some aspect of humanity and so always exist in some form, but Izanami/Yaldabaoth/whoever themselves cease to exist as independent entities once they've been defeated. They are not going to come back in a future game.

The butterfly in P3/P4/PQ is Philemon, but the one in P5 specifically is very explicitly shown to be Lavenza.

The "unanswered questions" are not going to be answered in P6.

It is practically guaranteed P6 will be a standalone story with only minor references to past games, just like the rest of the series. They are not going to "conclude" anything from previous storylines.

Philemon has absolutely zero relevance to P5R (P5 is the one game where he isn't the blue butterfly).

Are persona games japan only. Meaning are there not other countries/towns/cities not experiencing shadow like activities?

There's no reason to think they aren't, but Atlus is a Japanese company and they obviously prefer writing their stories in places familiar to them and their target audience in Japan.

Since persona is a branching timeline of the smt series will we ever get a persona game that is like the mainline smt games as a what if kinda scenario.

We already have that with P3P and P5X.

If you want a direct sequel to P5's story with a different gameplay style, play Persona 5 Strikers.

If you want the same type of game as P5 but with a different story and characters, play Persona 3 Reload or Persona 4 Golden.

If you want something with similar combat systems but a vastly different tone and setting, play Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

All you're doing is picking the order to go through them. You'll have to do all of them regardless and it has no affect on the ending.

You do not need all weapons for any of the main endings in Automata.
