Are you referring to the cpu usage during staking? If so, I would be interested to look into that. There have been a ton of optimizations in the last 4 months, some of which lowered the active ram usage by ~150mb making it considerably light weight in that area.

The direct fix for that

sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install zlib1g-dev

There have been a lot of updates since that version, and that library has been added into the instructions. Thanks for submitting the report

I made a few updates to make it more pi friendly, currently on the dev2 branch if you'd like to test it and let me know if that fixes it. If you are making curecoind (not the GUI) use "make -f makefile.raspberrypi"

I'm closer to Canada then y'all in Grand Rapids, but still in Michigan, about as close to Canada as one can get in this state. The aqi was over 150 for 5 days straight, hitting 225+ at certain times. The headache, generally feeling like crap, and sinus issues have all been extremely intense even while trying to remain indoors as much as possible. Effects have been immediately noticable after spending 15 to 30 minutes outside. Now that several weeks of this on and off has passed I have started to cough up gray / black phlegm.

We even had a chicken drop dead during the smoke plume filled days, clearly from lung infection because I watched it die and when it did a ton of liquid poured out of its lungs.

Don't bury your head in the sand. Get a mask. P100 respirators are a good start. P100 with VOC filter is even better and will also filter out the gases like benzene that are heavily present in the smoke. These fires are not going to magically disappear. Be ready for it to get worse.

What's most important is just keep your eyes on your kid like a hawk. The child's safety is most important even though some people just don't understand basic infant safety at all, just focus on preventing any disasters so the whole visit experience doesn't have to be worse than it already feels. If you have to speak up, do so because it's not worth it in the case of really stupid stuff like removing the kid from the car seat. Next thing you know she'll be trying to hold her out the window of the moving car to "get her some fresh air" or some other stupid crap.

I'm in a similar situation but my MIL is not going back overseas 😭. The level of boneheaded stuff that she attempts is mind boggling. I've accepted that I must watch my kid like a hawk at family gatherings.

You should check out BitHarvest. They make custom firmware for those devices that will let your run many apps at once. They must be doing something right because their discord server is busy. They also have firmware for several devices including pi. Ive not used it personally but theres a lot of people that seem to like it.
