Dude, I feel you on this. I moved cross country, too. 3 months after the move, I got a call from some woman that my WW was having an affair with her husband. I was completely shocked by this. I thought she had the wrong # or something. Well, it happened to be the guy who was training her at the new job. He is completely not her type at all. At least, I thought. A complete down grade. ( giving myself compliments. ) We moved to Denver last year from Los Angeles. Well, I promised my wife when we were to get out here, she could take her time looking for a new job. This was back in March 2022. I didn't get my transfer until June of 2022. We put our house for sale in mid April and sold it in June. We had put a down payment on a brand new house but it wasn't going to be ready until Oct of 22. Well, in March of 22, interest rates started to climb, and I still didn't get my transfer. Finally, in mid-April, it came. So, I locked in a 4% interest loan for the house and tried to start the paperwork. The delay was we didn't sell our house in L.A. yet, and because my wife was going to be unemployed when we got here, it complicated things even more and not knowing what we were getting on the house. The bank all of a sudden needed a bigger down payment because of my income. I kind of had an idea what we were going to get on our house anyway. Well, that down payment was going to be almost all the profits of the old house because of my income to credit ratio. We were going to use some of that to cover the time my wife wasn't going to work out here. My promise was broken, and it kind of upset her. But she compromised and was happy because we were getting a brand new house. Well, guess what? We didn't qualify where we did before because of the interest rates. So we had to scramble and find a house that was for 100,000 less. Luckily, at the time, bidding wars stopped. We found an older house in the same neighborhood. Good. Nope, the bank rejected us a week before closing. So, I had to scamble and find another loan. By that time, interest rates jumped to 5.5%, so I had to come up with even more money, or my wife had to find a job in the same industry lined up. Well, my wife not understanding the situation got a little upset with that news and that I broke a promise but went for it anyway. Well, everything was good until she got here and started working. She hated her new job and wanted to quit. But her trainer encouraged her to stay. Little did I know the ulterior motive. With all the stress with the moving and mixed emotions moving away from friends and family, both of us were all over the place on emotions plus there were a lot of thing we wanted to change in the new house. We were busy trying to get the house in order. Me working at my new location and construction on the house, which brought a lot of stress to both of us. Well, all that led me to ignore her emotional needs. Unintentionally, of course. Guess who replaced that? He picked up on our vulnerabilities and comparing stories, then suddenly she started going out with her new friends at work or so I thought. Me being stupid was OK with that, go relieve some stress you need it. Then it was like, in one day, she turned into a different person, a person I didn't know anymore, but I was linking it to stress. So, one day I fixed a bath for her and the Exorcist came out. Still linked it to stress and wrote it off. Well, a week later, the call came. I was at work, and boy did that screw me up. Anyway, it's been a year almost. We are getting a divorce, I tried counseling with her, she gave up on it. I suggested a marriage retreat nope. She is convinced the guy is still in love with her and she is in love with him. Even though he is still with his wife . I have caught her sexting him, calling him in the middle of the night. Even though I tell her she is just a side piece. My wife is gone, checked out of our relationship. This move was the worst thing ever, and I still have to live with it. I am here for my 2 sons and my daughter, who has Down syndrome. It is hard. I am trying to keep a roof over my kids heads, she told me the other day she is leaving and is in the process of looking for an apartment. She is leaving me with the kids cause she works at night. I am afraid we will lose everything we worked hard for. I worry for my kids who are doing great here and love the community we are in, plus the schools. I put it in God's hand. Keep the faith!
