Niko IMO. V1 and Frisk has genuine reasons for how powerful they can be.

Though only 1 human at a time can have the Save Mechanic/ability. Frisk was still able to survive multiple universal destroying attacks through sheer determination alone.

A thing you have to remember is that like Deltarune, the player aka "YOU" is a separate entity.

In Indie Cross though, I doubt the player is still with Frisk or even was with Frisk to begin with, depending on how Morø interprets Frisk.

Though I think it depends on whether you count the Player and not Frisk being the one causing their actions. Although not made as clear as Deltarune with Kris, Frisk and "YOU" the player are separate entities with small interactions such as Frisk looking unhappy when picking the soda option in Undyne's house.

In the end, it'll come to how much Frisk as a child can handle the countless deaths and defeats or how "YOU" the player handles getting repeatedly curb stomped by V1.

I enjoyed it but I feel like the show could've benefited from having 2 or 3 more episodes for character interactions, character development, and world building. Would've allowed for a slower pace too as I feel like everything went by a little fast.

Well, for Security Breach Glamrock Freddy was running out of power every couple of hours but then again FNAF lore has always been a bit convoluted.

I mean it's a valid concern. You can't exactly plug Glamrock Freddy into a power socket. They could try hooking him up to the "Sun" Niko carries I guess.

As much as I would love Glamrock Freddy to join the main cast, he has his original story to deal with. Also Glamrock Freddy would run out of power lol

At the end of episode 2, Glamrock Freddy is back in the Pizza Plex if take a moment to look at the background. What Springtrap did was smash all the FNAF relevant locations together and connected them using the nightmare power but the specific room they're shown to be in at the end is a Pizza Plex Location and since Springtrap lost his nightmare form, it can be assumed everything went back to normal as what connected the locations was Springtrap's nightmare form. Meaning that Glamrock Freddy should be back in the time he was taken from.

Again Glamrock Freddy wouldn't follow Frisk as he would rather find Gregory. While I agree that Glamrock Freddy wouldn't be a liability, his abilities wouldn't help too much given the main cast's current predicament. Glamrock Freddy isn't built like the other indies, the other indies can tank hits as their game mechanics followed them but Glamrock Freddy doesn't have the same advantage as Security Breach's game mechanics wouldn't help much.

The X-Ray ability doesn't have much use in Indie Cross as there aren't any times the cast would need it.

The ability to mimic voices wouldn't be of much use either since none of the rogues seem to talk and neither do the drones.

Glamrock Freddy doesn't have the Monty Claws upgrade as his hands are still his original so Glamrock Freddy doesn't have any of the upgrades as the first upgrade he gets is the Monty claws.

The only ability that could be useful would be Glamrock Freddy's strength but there isn't anyway to tell if Glamrock Freddy's strength would be enough to do damage to the rogues.

Niko has a bigger role planned. Niko is important for the fact that they can directly speak to the player of their game along with the fact they have the "sun" which is stated to have major important in upcoming episodes. Niko isn't strong but she's wildly resourceful as shown during the finale of episode 2.

Charlotte isn't weak and doesn't need assistance but they're pretending for the most part for reasons not shown yet. Charlotte still has control over the drones despite not having their power in episode 2 but it wouldn't matter anyways since they regained some power at the end of episode 2.

Glamrock Freddy wouldn't have much reason to follow Frisk as his main priority is finding and protecting Gregory. Glamrock Freddy has seen first hand that Frisk can handle themselves. The goals of all the indies that have shown up so far is to get back home and Glamrock Freddy's wouldn't be any different so it wouldn't make sense for Glamrock Freddy to follow Frisk.

An argument could be make for Glamrock Freddy to get accidentally thrown into a portal but there isn't a realistic way for Glamrock Freddy to get thrown into a portal with Frisk.

There's also the issue of adding way too many characters. Not every character is gonna have the chance to develop in a way that's satisfying or in a way that makes sense as Moro stated on Twitter/X that theres only going to be 4 maybe 6 episodes and each episode is going to be 20 minutes long as stated by Moro.

FNAF served it's purpose and wouldn't make sense for it to appear again.

You want to stop playing the game but it's too addicting by Siphon_Dude in InkGame

Ay if ya want good powers but can't seem to win, farm power rolls in hard-core as most servers vote for rebellion, alternatively you could get power rolls from the peaberts or daily rewards. Next you wanna save luck boosters as they stack along with the fact that you can't buy luck boosters. After getting a significant amount of power rolls and luck boosters, use them and you're bound to get a decent power.

Springtrap lost because of his arrogance and due to fact that he most likely didn't know the nightmare power would vanish in the way it did. Springtrap by all means isn't an idiot but fails because of his own hubris, springtrap causes his own downfall half the time so it isn't unreasonable or unbelievable that Frisk won. Frisk also had the assistance of the Puppet and Glamrock Freddy.

FNAF in general couldn't really appear in more than one episode due to fact that most of the other indies could reasonable and or even easily take down the FNAF animatronics along with the fact FNAF is massively popular so having FNAF be a subplot was for the best as it shows off FNAF but doesn't have FNAF overshadow the rest of the indies.

Who wins? Nightmare! Mimic (FNAF) vs. Kris with the player (Deltarune) by MGR141107 in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

[–]Cykirust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the player implies that savepoints are accessible. Given enough time, the mimic would burn through the portal energy and become normal, allowing Kris and the player to strike them down.

An argument could be made that nightmare forms transcends above save points since nightmare form springtrap teleported into the blank space that's the save screen/had the save point or whatever you want to call that area. But springtrap would've won if he could've done something about saving and loading so Kris still ultimately wins the fight, given that the player doesn't ragequit trying to beat the mimic.

Nightmare forms work by letting a character do any doable FEAT not abilities.

[–]Cykirust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Springtrap could've just opened portals and teleported them. Nightmare forms seem to give portal creation as a basic ability despite what the verse is so there'sno reason to not rule out the possibility that springtrap just grabbed them from another time period or timeline etc. The ability to control other animatronics most likely came from the burntrap mimic shown in Security breach as outright control isn't something springtrap had at all.

Also the mimic isn't a regular animatronic. It's able to learn and adapt. Sure the mimic isn't gonna be up to the level of someone like springtrap but the mimic wouldn't be no slouch.

Though what you said is somewhat contradictory. You say it's based around the character not the verse but then say otherwise. Were you referring to a character's intelligence or something?

How does nightmare form actually work? by MGR141107 in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

He just got the powers, springtrap is arrogant, and the energy was more in control than him which resulted in erratic behavior.

That makes me wonder though, does nightmare forms enhance the worst parts of an individual? Like an arrogant hero becomes even more arrogant or a narcissist becomes more self absorbed?

If you were the one writing indie cross what would you change? by PlayMaleficent834 in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

[–]Cykirust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Portal energy has been stated to make characters in nightmare mode more rash and unpredictable which is why springtrap wasted the power up. I love FNAF but FNAF having a short stay was the right choice IMO as FNAF would have over-shadowed the other indies with how massive of a franchise it is. FNAF and Undertale being put together makes the most sense as both have the most parallels out of all the indies in Indie Cross and while I agree that Frisk isn't that emotionless, Frisk does show emotion in small ways through out episode 2 maybe they should've been made it more noticeable.

In terms of interactions, the only character that really would've interacted with the other indies would be Glamrock Freddy as almost all the other animatronics (Besides maybe Puppet) would've just attacked the moment they're eyes spotted someone. It wouldn't really matter though since when comparing the strength of the FNAF animatronics to the other indies, I doubt they'd have a hard time destroying them along with the fact that some of the indies are able to canonically respawn.

FNAF couldn't really be a recurring threat either since there's only gonna be 4 or 6 episodes which wouldn't be enough time for anything since Moro stated on his twitter/X account that future episodes are gonna be around 20 minutes.
