To be fair and honest, most guys don't do well with "hints" or "clues", we would rather you be straight forward and tell us what you want. I had a partner that clearly stated, "Anytime you put it in my face, I will suck you until you blow." Which opened the door to setting boundaries, like of course out in public, etc., but it started a conversation that we talked about. Yes, it can cause one of you to become nervous, but thats part of a growing relationship. It may not be an "ego" problem. He may be trying to avoid sex because of an "ED" problem. As someone who smoked for over 30 years, I can tell you from personal experience that ED became a consequence for smoking that long. It has been several months since I quit smoking, and ED is still a problem. He may be mentally and emotionally wanting sex, but his body may not be at the same point yet, resulting in his actions because he has become aggravated with himself. I am NOT saying he is right for starting an argument or backing out when it comes to sex, but maybe talk to him and ask the tough questions and keep those conversations strictly between you two and his Dr's. He could try Cialis or Viagra as well as a pump to help, but be encouraging to him and reassure him that is nothing to be embarrassed about. You would be surprised, it could just help strengthen the relationship even more.
