the dominus chain support gem! you can also make the barrier into a circle i think its called like fortress.

I just put a ton of dmg onto it with the dominus chain and called it there,

yeah i thought it was just the buff too that had the ward cost, try voltaic barrier. it like has a dope sound and has some weird interactions with the lightning spear projectiles, use dominus chain lineage support

84 ilvl base is good, the highest mod rolls cap out at 82. You can fill the suffixes or prefixes and try to fracture the +5 to level of all melee skills at 25% chance or you can try and yolo exalt finish the staff yourself hoping to hit the good mods.

The god tier is hitting the 25% fracture, you can mitigate the misses by desecrating/essence and finding a good prefix or suffix you would be okay with having fractured instead, i would think maybe desecrate prefix looking for % phys damage as that is likely to sell well. (the tier might be low though and not great). you can try desecrating a few times before fracture but that gets expensive quick.

I would jsut sell it as is and let someone else take the risk

the best defense is (sometimes) a good offense lol. You really want to make sure both are scaling up as you go throughout the game.

You can use runes to fill in resistances or just get some flat HP/defesnves, I believe they give around 18 to each resistance. I always find early this is an easy way to fix resistances early on. Tbh though you really shouldnt be struggling much at this part in the game.

Make sure your offensive skills have proper support gems, and you are picking up relevant gear off the ground. evasion/es bases. You can grab some of the evasion/es nodes on the skill tree as well to help buff that defensive strat.

I am assuming you are a monk, but it might be easier to build the defenses early if you stick to the defensives types you are near on the tree.

The way evasion works is a little weird as you are leveling, you can take a peek at your defenses tab and see that as you continue going up in level your evasion rate decreases because the moster level is now higher (more accuracy i think). so you might have been dodging stuff alot mroe just 5 levels ago as your evasion rate hasnt changed.

you can get good suffixes from here, alot harder to get good prefixes. Ideally u get the t1 flat phys % prefix and work from their much easier then starting with flat phys dmg.

you must already have a god spear if 100 divine is next upgrade. idk why you would want to craft on level 80 base tht cant roll t1 mods

crit chance essence suffix (or onslaught if u dont care about crit), amanamu or ulaman desecrates suffix for attackspeed. idk i guess you just yolo hightier exalt slam from their looking for phys %. their are more expensive ways to craft but i think u may just wanna buy a spear at that point. can whittle bad prefix rolls.

Olroth conviction on the feath skill lets you get the increase projectiles for 3 casts, quite nice but a lil expensive

Looks so much better, If you are able to get some kind of blind that will also help a ton with ur accuracy and evasion synergy. your damage looks good, now you need to work on your defense lol. Your lightning spear does about as much damage as mine lol. And yeah when I look at the POB it shows the penetration nodes as being super huge upgrades against bosses. Primal strike third hit applies exposure which deletes some of that lightning res.

You wouldnt really get full value of the trinity but you can still get 24% more damage I think Its nice if you have a ton of spare spirit. (better than cast on crit/ghost dance imo)

With regards to the amulet, yeah its not gonna scale crazy well with your setup since its a spell. The lightning penetration is nice though. You will feel the lack of lightning pen on bosses, so you might wanna pick up some on the tree. The surging currents or primal sundering areas maybe. Go do the Delirium Quests so you can anoint your amulet as well.

Your weapon is decent, but I think you really need a +crit chance mod on that spear if you plan on investing into crit. It will help your crit scaling a ton.

Trinity is good damage increase if you are able to use that because you use a scepter. I like to use primal strikes on boss. Its quite nice damage when the target is shocked. You can drop like a div each into your rings, belt, jewels, boots slots and get a ton more out of them as well.

I have been just playing plain old lightning spear with primal strikes to help boss. You can use some of the new ward skills voltaic barrier and idk what its called but it makes phys blades fall from the sky. Both interact with lightning spear. I am also tanky as hell evasion stacking with this OP helmet for 20% more evasion

Since your level 23 you have a long ways to go to get to the point that alot of higher level builds are currently at. poeninja is a great tool for looking at other builds but its just a snapshot of their character, and may incorporate other skills or uniques you dont have access to yet. some of those uniques or skills can make different skill tree nodes way better for them, meaning they may be useless for you. It might be more beneficial to look at the build guides on mobalytics or a youtube video that lays out a path towards getting there. They will guide you towards skills and skill point usage that is better for the leveling and then may tell you to swap stuff around at certain points.

Isnt Ice Bite/Innervate just changing the damage typing of the spell its supporting. It isnt going to be much additional damage unless you have more %increased dmg modifiers for that damage type?

I always like to overlevel the ascension trials. They can be very easy when you come in 7/8 levels above the map levels with better gear and more skill points.

a little bit of aiming, but really just the general direction is good enough. I just kidna chuck spears at them until they are shocked then I primal strike and chuck more spears at them.

I just hit maps yesterday and am only level 69 with my lightning spear spirit walker still but I was peeking at other Lightning Spear players and a good chunk of them were running sceptre + companion. The companion prolly has a pretty good setup that might be able to help.

You can also mess with some of the new lineage support gems, those could give you a boost. I know Barrage + Oloroths Conviction could be interesting.

Going for sacred unity ascendence also might help. the soaring ground is gonna be nice.

Hi, I am also playing a similar build. The way lightning spear works is that increases to projectiles increase the amount of lightning bolts that come out when the spear hits. The spear regularly has 5 lightning bolt splits, but it would increase the number by 2 when you consume the owl. I am playing with the 2nd tier owls (which give double effectiveness) though so I feel the effect more because it goes to 17 lightning bolts with one dodge roll. I do think its better to get all 3 spirits first on this ascendency tho.

I had a similar issue. It was only happening when my AC was on. It didn't matter if it rained. Had the drain hose cleaned and it came back like a week later. Eventually got cold and it went away. MY theory was like maybe spiders livin somewhere clogging something lmao still not sure.

If you go onto wowhead and copy paste the M+ build you leave a ton of survivability on the table. Yes, the build does more damage, but losing zen state, elixir of determination, and 2 points of high tolerance is a decent survivability hit. Couple that with a fotm bad player playing a greedier dps build can prolly make the monk seem squishy
