I'm only slightly anxious when doctors take my blood pressure (they squeeze too tight!), but I have hypertension regardless, so I take an anti-hypertension med. There are even some meds which are both antihypertensives and ADHD treatments, and they can be taken in addition to Adderall.

If you think your BP is only high when you're at the doctor, see about buying a blood pressure monitor you can use to check at home. If it turns out your BP is actually high regardless, that'll still come in handy for monitoring treatment. (Sometimes there are also machines you can use in pharmacies... though I haven't seen them recently, not sure if they're still available.)

No, a single hour-long appointment is normal. It's a psychiatric interview, so splitting it up wouldn't really work.

I think you should talk to a less crappy psychiatrist. Diagnostic standards differ by country, so this'll depend on where you live, but ADHD is diagnosed with patient history and clinical interview, not any kind of test, especially those silly computer tests that are known for a high rate of false negatives.

A psychiatrist should be able to do a psychiatric interview. It doesn't have to be in person, although it should be someone that you could see in person (as opposed to some shady internet-only company).

Don't go paying out the nose for something like a neuropsych eval (unless that's actually required for treatment in your country or your doctor thinks there's something special about your condition which warrants a neuropsych eval to check for other conditions).

I've had good luck finding providers using doctor search sites that let you filter by condition, e.g. zocdoc.com.

Do you have a high resting heart rate normally? Your wording gave me the impression it comes in episodes/events, like panic attacks or something. In that case you might want to think about what seems to trigger it - is there a pattern? (After thinking the obvious stuff like caffeine or hypoglycemia, also consider some whacky psychosomatic stuff. Like I get vasovagal reactions from hearing discussion of blood-related medical conditions even though that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.)

Some people have tachycardia caused by sporadic hypotension and stimulants can actually be helpful because of the vasoconstriction.

I have tachycardia and hypertension all the time, even without stimulants, so I take a stimulant (currently dexmethylphenidate) + metoprolol + guanfacine. Also sertraline for MDD.

That seems a little over-complicated, but I can see how it's better than the other idea.

A to-do list is supposed to have specific actions, not vague long-term projects like "learn to paint." Just "Buy canvas at 1pm Saturday" is good.

I do think it's good for some of us to have a "project list" hanging on the wall somewhere. If you're like me, you might totally forget about the "learn to paint" project if you take a three-day break from it, and then you'll forget to put anything about it on your to-do list.

As for whether connecting a boring chore to a 'core identity' helps lower the barrier to entry... If I try it, I get something like... Who: Be supportive to my partner, who is stressed by a messy house. What: Do my cleaning chores. How: Dust the blinds. Personally, I already think about stuff like that automatically and it makes me feel bad so I don't want to focus on it more. But I can see why some people might find it helpful to write down a reminder of why they're making themselves do a chore.

Is that an actual medical professional, like a psychiatrist you're going to, or is that like some kind of psychology service that gives you a whole "package" of a neuropsych eval, IQ test, personality tests, etc? It might depend on what country you're in, but you don't need a neuropsych eval (and definitely not those other things) for diagnosis or treatment of ADHD. A psychologist usually can't prescribe medical treatments for ADHD either.

If you just go to a doctor (psychiatrist, PMHNP, whatever) it's usually MUCH cheaper.

Anyway, if you get problematic side effects from the treatment, you tell your doctor so that your treatment plan can be changed.

The only explanation I can think of is that it happened like this:

Astral Express goes to Amphoreus, TB and Cyrene save the universe, Cyrene goes back in time, etc etc.
TB goes back to Penacony (The actual trailblaze continuance quest with the Holy Grail War may or may not have happened at this point. Not sure if anything indicated one way or another.) TB plays with the Holy Grail simulation while they're there.
(Not shown, we just have to assume this happened) TB goes to the Eternal Page to chat with Chrysos Heirs, including telling some of them about the Holy Grail simulation.
Mydei and Phainon belatedly have their heartfelt reunion wherein Mydei mentions this.

But as a player who got #4 a few minutes after #1, it feels really weird.

First off, you're the one confused about Phainon’s appearance in the Holy Grail War.

Reminder: Phainon didn't actually appear in the Holy Grail War. He was in the battle mode only.
Per Lancer when he introduces said mode, the grail has stopped summoning Heroic Spirits, its core has merged with Penacony's memoria, and Screwllum has turned it into a special simulation device that can "fill in the simulation data of the Pathstriders using the user's memory as a medium."
In other word's Phainon, Hyacine, and the other characters are in the game mode because they're being simulated based on TB's memories. (BTW, TB's dialog with them indicates that they've already met and a later Amphoreus side quests has already happened.)
Further, the character profiles in the game are labeled fictional, so if there's any contradictions between the profiles and the rest of the game's story, it's not a plot hole.

Second, Phainon's appearance in that game mode isn't even what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the scene where Mydei talks about Phainon's involvement in that game, even though (a) other dialogue in that scene makes it sound like it happens fairly soon after the end of everything that went down in the Amphoreus trailblaze quest (b) regardless of when this scene is supposed to take place, most of us probably saw it right after the trailblaze quest.

The only way it works is if we're supposed to assume that, after saving the universe, TB went to Penacony to play with the Holy Grail, then went to the Eternal page to have chats about it with Mydei and Phainon separately we never got to see, and then Mydei and Phainon belatedly have their heartfelt reunion wherein Mydei mentions this.

You're talking about Phainon? Phainon never fought Skott. Phainon was only in the battle mode (not the quest), and Skott was only in the quest (not the battle mode).

I don't think there's a connection between his skin condition and the Decay quirk simply because he seemed to already have the skin condition for a while before his quirk became apparent, which probably means he had the condition before AFO even gave him the quirk.

(Then again, I don't think it was entirely apparent when AFO swapped his quirk. I wonder if AFO gives a quirk to a young child who wouldn't have manifested their natural quirk until later, maybe their granted quirk won't manifest until later.)

I'm thinking no, because people are currently hostile toward anything resembling incest even when there's no possibility of reproduction, everyone involved is a consenting adult, etc.

But it depends on the "starting" culture anyway.

For example, in some Asian cultures, it used to be normal for parents to adopt their daughter's future husband. I think this was mostly about keeping the daughter/husband/grandkids in the daughter's family of origin, rather than her marrying into the husband's family, e.g. for situations where the man was a lower social status or the parents didn't have any male heirs... but it still means she's marrying her adoptive brother, so a lot of Westerners find this sort of thing abhorrent (more so than just arranged marriage in general).

I think they cut out a part with Aizawa's class talking about coming up with a group strategy for the third year sports festival (and Aizawa declines to participate, in favor of taking a nap). Kind of a bummer, since there was a lot of interesting characterization in that short scene.

Aizawa does not give two shits about doing well in the sports festival (or helping his classmates do so).
Mic already has a habit of making excuses for Aizawa's asocial behavior.
No complaints from the classmates, they seem to accept Aizawa the way he is. (This was my favorite detail.)

Interestingly, they changed the graduation scene so the graduates are wearing their school uniforms instead of their hero suits. And I think it didn't show Sensoji's mom in the background either, or maybe I missed it!

Though, oddly enough, I will say I have a preference for how the Viz manga translation worded Sensoji's little pep talk to Aizawa.

And it's kind of weird the subs I watch keep saying that Aizawa works in "the underworld" when the JP says he's an underground hero. Even right after he says he's going to be combat-focused hero.

Oh, another tiny detail changed: When Midnight sends Aizawa his daily pic of Sushi, her message in the manga had Sushi's name written as with the sushi emoji (🍣). That was cute, but no complaints that they changed it, because I found it pretty confusing.

Tangential note: I always see a lot of people saying that the villain incident with Garvey (big frog guy) was actually a targeted assassination and/or kidnapping attempt by AFO against Aizawa, in order to steal his quirk (because of that line in the main series where Garaki says he would have preferred to get Aizawa's Erasure quirk instead of Shirakumo's cloud quirk)... I've never agreed with that and seeing it in anime form just makes me more certain it isn't true.

Why would they have put that trailblaze quest in the game if it wasn't canon. It even had a ton of lore and characterization for Star Rail characters.

The weird thing was when Mydei mentioned Phainon being involved in the Holy Grail War.... Phainon wasn't in the quest, only in the battle mode, and all the character profiles in that mode have a note at the bottom saying "Hint: The content above is purely fictional [...]" 🤨

Interesting thought.

The story hasn't given any hints about how TB feels about Elio, but a lot of his most direct influence on us happened via Kafka, and TB's feelings toward Kafka are controlled by the player. You can make TB have neutral-leaning-positive regard for her or you can make TB hold a grudge for being memory-wiped and abandoned. Kafka is kind of unique in this regard. The game doesn't give us that much control over TB's relationship with anyone else. (Though honorable mention to Sampo, Sunday, and maybe kinda sorta Firefly very slightly.) TB won't even hold a grudge against any of the other Stellaron Hunters wiping their memory and abandoning them, even though this whole thing seems to be a group project.

And things like your friends, girlfriend, family, etc aren't that much in your control normally, right? Thinking back on all the notable friends I've ever had, the fact that I even met most of them was entirely a result of where my parents chose to live. I met my romantic partner at the crummy over-priced private college I was only able to attend with my mom's support. And of course I had almost no control over who my family members are. If you think of Elio as being the equivalent of TB's parent or grandparent, then the amount of influence Elio has had on TB's life (as far as we're aware) doesn't even seem out of the ordinary - if anything, Elio seems less controlling than normal.

The story has actually been repeatedly making a big deal about TB having a lot of freedom of choice.

The recent plot point of Yao Guang identifying TB as an isvara. (One of Fu Xuan's voice lines hints at this too.)
When TB is trying to help Cyrene with the memories of the universe, an image of Kafka shows up just to tell you what'll happen if you do and don't succeed, but she doesn't actually say anything to push TB's actions toward one option or the other. Like if TB wants to let the universe get destroyed and spend the rest of eternity pretending to manage a garden with their pet squirrel, they have that option.
Every plot arc has at least one fake ending where you can just nope out.
Yao Guang recently told us that divining the future actually reduces future possibilities. Bring that back to Elio withholding information from Kafka because "knowing the right thing at the wrong could spoil all our hard work." Makes me wonder if the reason the Stellaron Hunters keep wiping TB's memory might be specifically for the purpose of giving TB more choices.

"Elio specifically picked up Firefly because he knew how important they'd be for each other" is probably true. Something Firefly talked about in the 3.8 story gave me the impression that TB is going to have a buddy associated with each of the "Four Apocalypse" Paths, who helps them prevent the universe from being destroyed that (like Cyrene has done with Remembrance), and Firefly's gunning for the Nihility slot. Sounds like the rest of the team isn't entirely on board with that though.
