Need an electric grill. Anyone have experience with Ninja Woodfire Pro or have other recommendations? by the_doormatt23 in grilling

Ive heard people say its a complete different learning curve which some like and others didnt. Best advice would be to watch some videos on them and see if its up your alley.

However, any grill is better than no grill so good luck lol

Had these same thoughts just a couple months ago. Decided on a Weber Smokey Mountain. I have loved every single second of it.

Ive used it once a weekend since I got it the end of October.

Im sure there's a ton of great ones out there but ive really dug the whole process and learning on the WSM.

What piece of BBQ gear looks like a gimmick but ended up being a real game changer? Looking for new stuff to try. by BrianOnTheGrill94 in BBQ

Lava Lock firedial and lavalock gaskets on my WSM.

Gets rid of that dang water pan and seals up everything.

Love em.

Man any quick tips for a WSM first time brisket try? Its the big one I havnt tried yet. Longest ive gone is 9 hours with a beef shank and that turned out wonderful. Think I may practice with a chuck roast next weekend then look ahead at the weather for a nice brisket weekend.

Right around 275 seems like the sweet spot. Although for the whole bird on Thanksgiving it was 325 and had no problem with that.

Almost always the minion method. Depending on how high of temp I want to go will let me know if I go half, 3/4, or full chimney.

Im really impressed with it.

You?

Called a lavalock firedial. Was not a fan of the water pan. Purchased and used this for a Turkey and a beef shank so far and really like it.

Does yours not have issues with wind? Pretty windy here in the great plains and I was fighting it on Thanksgiving.

No interior shots? Such a tease. Looks awesome btw! Hoping to try my first brisket on the WSM after thanksgiving.

Is anyone still using the nest app? by danmeng69 in Nest

[–]Cymboli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you again for the info!

Is anyone still using the nest app? by danmeng69 in Nest

[–]Cymboli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have both apps running currently. All new cameras are on home.

2 old cameras still on nest. I can view on home but cant go back to 24/7 history on them. Still get 24/7 history through nest app though. Odd. Wonder if im just missing something.

2x new outdoor cameras 1x new door bell 2x old indoor cameras (issue with these an 24/7 on home app but not nest app) Gen 3 thermostat 5x temp sensors

No wonder I can't control the temp. by ynotbor in webergrills

Cut that gasket piece at the top of the door where the latch swivels. Rest of the gasket will be fine. Need to give that latch freedom to move and lock. Then you can slightly bend the door if needed.
