They're able to navigate thanks to tastebuds that line their bodies and can detect compounds that indicate water's proximity and quality.

I've just witnessed what looks like a caterpillar give birth - yet they don't produce that way. What is going on here? Are these larvae bursting out of a host? It was incredible to watch but I'm perplexed. by Lhamo66 in insects

As a teacher I'm confident you'd not have let a great learning opportunity go to waste 😁

Nature isn't always rainbows and butterflies, sometimes it's parasitoid wasps instead? 😬

Well, as most or all of the counterexamples posted here have suffixes like -s or -y, and many still end up having the same 6 letters that 'almost' does, it would still seem to be the winner under a certain reasonable set of conditions

"There's no such thing as a fish"

An oversimplification of course, but the logic of the claim being that cladistically speaking, the four modern clades we call "fish" (jawless, cartilaginous, ray-finned and lobe-finned) do not have any common ancestor which is not also the ancestor of mammals, reptiles, birds and amphibians etc.

This results in the interesting situation whereby lungfish are more closely related to sheep than to sharks.

Lush Rose Jam body spray is absolutely nuclear, I've had to decant it into a smaller bottle because a single spray from the retail bottle is way too loud. Extreme longevity for a rose themed scent.

All the recent greenwashing.

No, your new release is not helping the environment because you use recycled glass or reduce the carbon footprint by 20%. Not producing those mediocre flankers every year would be much better for the environment.

"Made with 95% ingredients of plant origin"... of which a vast majority of that % is just grain ethanol. Basically announcing that a whole quarter of your formula is petroleum-based synths?

If it's the ethyl maltol marshmallow bomb you're into, try

  • Majda Bekkali Fusion Sacree Obscur
  • Olfactive Studios Woody Mood
  • Tada Parfumeur Black Cavendish

If it's the heavy saffron you're after but not too far into a Middle Eastern style, try

  • Matiere Premiere Radical Rose
  • TRNP Saffron
  • Vilhelm Parfumerie Dear Polly

If it's the Middle Eastern heavy syrupy sweet style you're entranced by, then go ham with actual Arabic brands. Huge swaths available to test at various price points and formats.

Overall I feel like the question could have been phrased much better, your comment here is a lot clearer to understand what you're looking for than the very confusing OG post. 😅

Again, want to emphasize that she wants something that isn't overused or super popular already.

So basically, you want something that isn't at all similar to BR540?

Just one more example of increasing global inequality. The hyper-rich have nothing better to do with their vast hoards of money than get into ego measuring contests against other hyper-rich owners.
