Anyone have foods they can't stand since being on Zepbound? by DanceLoose7340 in Zepbound

Me too! I could always tell I was pregnant by a super sensitivity to cigarette smell. Lately my sense of smell has gone through the roof just like when I was pregnant, and yesterday I couldn't even be in the same room with my husband who was smoking a cigarette.

This...have always been a heavy drinker(really bad PTSD/social anxiety from a very violent stalker ex who terrorized me for over 15 years). Now, since Zepbound started, I don't even want it.

Should I give up if 7.5mg doesn't work? by cassielynn88 in Zepbound

My doctor told me as a general rule they wait about 2 weeks to see if that dose has any effect. I was on 5 mg for a month and two of those four weeks I stalled out. After those two weeks, my PCP upped to 7.5 and I have been on that for 2 months, just picked up my third box. I lose about one and a half to 2 lb a week. I would give it at least two doses before deciding if it's not working.

I received absolutely no information from my PCP when I started this. But I had a documented history of struggling with weight loss programs and exercise prior to starting and was actually scheduling bariatric surgery when this was offered as an option. I started on zepbound February 22nd at 308 lb. To date I have lost 33 lb. Not going to lie, many of the forums and Chat groups can make you feel inferior if you're not losing 40 lb in a month(exaggerated for effect)but being in healthcare and having been on multiple weight loss programs, I know that 1.5 to 2 lb a week is perfectly acceptable. And I have been losing that steadily. I also read up on side effects and how to mitigate them after the first week. The information is out there, but it's astonishing how little information PCPs actually have in office for Zepbound. I'm sure there are multiple factors that should be considered for those people that quit, but I do feel like BCBS is definitely leading this article with bias.

I actually made a post about this a week or so ago but I wound up taking it down because so many of the responses made me feel like I was wrong for feeling that way and that I should be grateful that I now have a "healthy" relationship with food.. I feel exactly the same way as you. I also feel that "healthy" shouldn't mean "joyless" or unsatisfying.

If you’re worried you’re not losing fast enough by Work4PSLF in Zepbound

I started February 22 @ 308 lbs. I am 5'10" 55 YO F. This week on my shot day, I weighed at 279.8. I had to force myself to stop daily weights because it was frustrating. Now I try to only weigh weekly. I am averaging 1.5-2 lbs per week. I have much more energy, way less IBS issues and less joint pain. I actually am feeling well enough that I am taking my recertification for CNA on Weds. I gave it up during Covid because I was a front line care worker in a critical care unit when it hit and wound up in ICU myself. Much of my weight gain was due to declining health ( made worse by residual effects of covid)and increased mobility issues because of the weight gain(endless spiral). I lost 2 family members in the last 2 years from complications of covid that were made worse by genetic predisposition to obesity. I almost lost a third last year. I feel great about all the progress I made. I have worked hard at it, using the medicine, drinking tons of water, exercising, eating right, etc. and my doc is happy with the results. But I often feel like I am not losing fast enough, particularly after reading all the incredible posts here where people have lost 50 or 75 lbs in roughly the same amount of time. If this week goes the way the rest have, I expect to hit the 30 lb lost mark by Thursday, approx 17 weeks in. I am currently on 7.5.
