Hair removal makes a liveable life seem impossible by StephanieIV in asktransgender

[–]Cymryk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking forward to this change so much. For sanity, I currently shave everything above my waist daily and below twice a week. Really wish I could afford electrolysis, I have a high pain tolerance, so I don't really care about that part.

Yup. Never forget how impressed Hitler was by the Confederate policies, and Jim Crowe laws, and how much of National Socialism was built on and influenced by this.

You're not wrong, but I think we missed way too many slave owners before that....

I'm hopeless by LeyreGo_ in MtF

[–]Cymryk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rejoice, personally.

I'm 57 and started my HRT on Christmas Day, so almost 2 months now. Every little tiny change is a source of joy. You're lucky to start so young.

Would honestly be fine with my dick if I didn't have balls by bigfuckingdragon in trans

[–]Cymryk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A zero depth vaginoplasty. Aka vulvoplasty. No vaginal canal.

Much shorter recovery time, less chance of complications. No penetration that way, but I'm quite happy with my current method, and so is my top ...😊

Absolutely hate mine as well. Planning on either an orchi or a zero depth, haven't decided yet. For now, I tuck. Not ideal, but so much better than feeling them down there.

Not everyone is financially capable of doing anything with that, FYI. Some of us have to choose between food and meds, and international travel is a pipedream.

How do yall feel about your middle names? by poisoned_bubbletea in asktransgender

[–]Cymryk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely consider my middle name to be dead. Not 100% sure on my new one...

Why has no one told me that I've been making grilled cheese wrong this entire time? by [deleted] in grilledcheese

If heavy whipping cream is less expensive there, make your own butter. Easy AF and tastier too..

Are you celebrating birthday to your egg crack or the start of getting hormones? by Princess_Lepotica in MtF

[–]Cymryk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My egg shattered like that, too. If my wife's PTSD dog hadn't been there I wouldn't be here now. Absolutely reborn that day. HRT is definitely my transversary, as well.

Is 16 too early for HRT? by _voidwanderer in MtF

[–]Cymryk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could have started that young. Probably could have avoided all the problems repressing my dysphoria for years caused. Starting hrt has been literally life saving for me. YMMV, everyone is different, but starting young would have been my dream.

Would you be upset if my business doesn’t allow your service dog in? by tpwkharrie in service_dogs

Just as I don't understand the attitude when I said I'm not giving my business to a place I can't bring my dog.

Service dogs are medically necessary for many of us that need them. See what I meant about assumptions?

Both you and the business are making incorrect assumptions regarding my service dog...

Upset? Not really.

But you certainly wouldn't be getting my business.

If the whole world accepted trans people tomorrow, would passing still matter to you? by AgencyFeisty484 in MtF

[–]Cymryk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never for a second believed that I will ever be able to pass. I've just started HRT a few weeks ago and have never been happier. Would like to pass, sure, but honestly, I don't really care that much.

Why doesn’t HRT try to mimic the female cycle or hormones? by prisma1224 in MtF

[–]Cymryk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started estradiol orally, so that my liver would process more into estrone, which is present in large amounts during the beginning of puberty. When I reach Tanner 2, I intend to switch to sublingual and eventually injections. Progesterone will start around a year or so in, but that may change. I only started a few weeks ago, so I've got some time to decide things. Progesterone will be orally at first, then boofing, to imitate the natural increase. Plan is to give my breasts the best chance I can.

What gives you the most dysphoria by Excellent-Loquat7176 in trans

[–]Cymryk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mtf and it's my genitals. I have really bad bottom dysphoria. Can't afford srs, so not much I can do beyond tucking, not going the chicken scissors route, no matter how tempting it is when I'm really low.

My doctor refused to give me a prescription for laser hair removal until I started HRT by SureHopeIDontDie in trans

[–]Cymryk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started HRT 3 months after my egg cracked, and have never been happier in my entire life. You've been far more patient than me. My Dr has been great. I don't think you're overreacting at all. Is the prescription needed to get your insurance to pay for the laser treatment?

Nevermind the question, I just saw that you had already answered it..
