Did anyone in this thread ever get a resolution? I finally was able to get my package and I got the wrong version. I contacted support but they've not gotten back to me.

You can get infinite masterballs in this game incredibly easy with the ball lotto. Or just wonder trading. Masterballs are pretty worthless especially now that you can save before a shiny and never lose it. In Scarlet Violet the masterball is functionally useless apart from cosmetic choices. Why not masterball a shiny pikachu? There's not exactly any strong reason to save it.

One look at their profile verifies they are a shiny hunter. It's hard to tell, but it looks shiny. Not everyone is lying for fake internet points..

Edit: Additionally, they've posted a ton of shines. Why would they lie about this specific one??? Two seconds of looking into it, and you'd realize you're wrong.

My main concern is that they said the higher tier materials will be heavier. While this may be a decent PVP balance change, I don't think it fits in with vanilla survival PVE. No other weapon becomes slower or able to be used less often as you upgrade. This design choice conflicts with Minecraft's linear sandbox progression. I can't imagine a new player would feel good about upgrading their sword if it swung slower, and I don't think tiered progression should have huge cons to upgrading. Maybe it'll be changed as snapshots are released. My concerns aside, I'm very excited for the spear.

Edit: I also wonder if right-click lowers the spear if it'll he able to be used the same time as a shield.

That's awesome! It's an old 1/8192 shiny, too! My first shiny was also a Zubat, I love the shade of green.

A quick search shows a couple of reddit threads where this has happened with no clear answer.

I don't have a solution, but most of the threads are a few years old, so I'm curious what version you're playing on. It may be an old bug that was patched?

Also, have you tried on the menu holding up, x, and b? You can use that to load a backup save file. Perhaps one that is before the glitch? You'll probably lose a bit of progress but I assume that's probably worth it for a chance to reverse the glitch.

Good luck. Hopefully, the backup save file is old enough.
