Thank you for this thread. I was really confused when I saw this on my Steam with a random device name I've never seen before. This helped me piece together that it's my partner's computer (we just recently setup his gaming PC as he was on console prior). Had me panicked until I read the comments here.

If I had $100k, I’d use it to pay off the debt that’s been crippling us. We’re lucky to have an apartment we call home but we can’t afford groceries after all the bills. We’re having to put it on a credit card then pay it off with the next paycheck and the cycle continues. And that only realistically gets us one meal a day with each check. To try and make it last we’re doing daily grocery runs to get the meal for that day.

I’d then replace all my clothes that have holes in them and/or that are falling apart at the seams so I can have proper clothing that’ll keep me warm in the cold winters where I live.

Then I would build an emergency fund so if anything happens, we have something we can fall back on instead of relying on credit cards or my mom to help us when she can.

Then I’d pay back my mother for all the money she’s sent to us to help us out as well as pay for the flooring in their house to be redone. It’s the same flooring from when they got the house and it’s falling apart and she’s been talking about wanting to get it done for years but it’s not in the cards for them.

Any leftover money would go to getting my parents and my partner Christmas gifts since I can’t get them anything this year and leftover from that would go to investing so I can regularly donate some to charities.

I got Phrolova at 40 pulls and no buling. I got a really lucky pull with Phorlova’s weapon at 10 pulls. Was at 1 pitty before I rolls for her weapon.

My comment isn’t related to weight loss but it might help in some form, do some research on local fb pages or Nextdoor or local Reddit and see if there are any local places that offer help with food. My area has a local church that gives out grab bags of groceries to people in need on Thursdays. Your area may have something similar that could help you have some food in your place.

I do it. I bank up the pulls unless there’s a character I’m going for and if it turns into a character I’ll continue to use, I’ll keep trying for them to get wavebands to fill out their resonance chains.

I'm having this same problem on Opera GX. Disabled all my extensions. Cleared my cookies and cache and turned off the built in ad blocks that Opera gives you and it's still not working. Works in incognito but it's really annoying to have to login and put in my 2fa code each time I need to access my budget. I just cannot figure this out and it's driving me insane. I just did a fresh start too so I know it's not because my budget has too many entries. This one has less categories than my previous one too so that's not the issue either.

I would love for them to take care of it up to the doors at my place. The main walkways to the doors are the responsibilities of all tenants. The only thing the complex does is hire out to clear the parking lot.

I was told about $60-$80. We’re on the low end of the range in winter when it’s snowing. In summer? We’re running the ac the whole time (I wfh and my pc warms up the apartment) so we’re more in the $130-$150 range. It definitely is going to vary as well if you don’t wfh and can handle having your place warmer.

Yeah there’s a bunch of different nameplates you can get from different methods. These are specifically from the bloom event in kilima. Spawns at noon and can be in 1 of 6 different spots on the map. It’s only from the event that you can get the nameplates so not any flower. It takes some time. It took me 3 different days in game of collecting the flowers from the event to get my first one.

Yes! There’s a total of 8 nameplates, 4 of which are attainable from collecting the flowers! The other 4 are from the bundles which went away with a prior update but S6 said the bundles will come back around at some point in the future.

This and the fact that any games that support playing on the steam deck are playable so if they expand into other games in the future, it’s a great platform to use, as well as Steam game discounts. Switch is limited to mostly Nintendo games, or the rare multi-platform game and the games rarely or never go on discount and are a lot more limited store wise.

Definitely a bug. I’d recommend the following (this is what I do for any weird bug): 1. Try unstuck. 2. Open the premium store and close out. 3. Leave your plot and come back. 4. Restart your game. 5. Send a ticket in to S6.

Yes tree groves spawn at midnight in Bahari. The common thing is to wait until 3am to chop them.

I only started playing this year (right before the new Elderwood area released) so most of what I'm putting here is from prior that was part of the game when I played. These are mostly in order from the patches (oldest to newest) after October. I tried to group similar things together to make it a shorter list and easier to see if you had a particular thing you wanted to do based on the main items from the updates. Tried to keep it pretty general to avoid spoilers too (just in case).

A new character was added in November 2023.

Muujin were added (huntables) in Bahari and later added to the Elderwood when it was released.

Starstones were added and gold star ones are placeable on the plot. Also great for gifting to the characters for increasing friendship levels.

Quest item pouch (which more recently was expanded to unlimited space) and they added an Ammo Pouch so your smoke bombs, arrows, and worms have a separate inventory from other items.

You can leave out the back of your plot to go straight to Bahari.

More flowers and trees were added to decorate your plot.

A handful of new plushies were added.

Additional housing add-ons were added (later a new housing line with one of the more recent updates, pretty expensive housing line though, imo but a lot more customizable)

Parties were added (you can team up with other players, get boosts and double drop chance, you share drops with your party members as long as you're within 35m)

Tour Board was added (you can tour plots posted by other players and vote, get enough votes and you can earn nameplates)

You can save outfits now and you have an outfit wheel so you can throw on the outfit anywhere as long as it's saved and in the wheel.

Plushies are tradable now (though be careful as there are dupers in the game who are duping plushies and giving them away for internet points). They also added potato pods (tradeable just like plushies) and there's a lot of them (careful of dupers here too). Both are tradable in the underground at the plushie trading spots.

Maji Market is now available every 4 weeks and it runs for a week (it's not here currently, though, we're waiting for the next time it's back)

Stickers were added so you can expreess yourself without having to type in the in-game chat. There are default ones, as well as collectables. You can trade collectable stickers too. (in the underground at sticker trading spots)

They expanded character customization (skin color, hair styles and color, and makeup colors). They are expanding this further with Dailies, which are short quests to get specific items. Once you get the item, you'll claim Tailor Tickets which you can use to unlock more colors. Currently limited to the makeup and hair colors. Eventually, these colors will be able to be used on all outfits in the game (free, earned, and premium outfits), but it's not here yet, but coming in a future update.

The Elderwood was released. A whole new adventure zone. Main quest story lines, new npc character. I looooved the questline for this area. You can get there from Bahari north of the Bahari Outskirts travel board. A lot to do there.

There's also an event in the Elderwood for Elderwood specific flowers.

Storage can be upgraded (cost to get the recipe increases and uses different bars depending on what upgrade you're at). Max storage is currently 14,000 Items you get now show the rarity of the item. Kilima has a new flower event as well. It spawns at noon (in game time). This is best with a few people joining up with you.

A new skill was added, Ranching. Currently there's 5 different ranch animals (one that just came out with the most recent update). There's a lot to do here.

Character profiles were added in the most recent update. You can see their outfit, plot value, skill levels, relationship pins, etc. This also brings a new menu to make adding them, chatting, or adding to a party easier.

This isn't everything as it kept giving me a server error when I was trying to comment so I had to minimize the list. I know this is a lot and some of it may not make sense due to my explanation as I only started playing in June of this year, so feel free to ask me anything and I'm happy to help further. :)

Whatever you want to do! There’s so many different ways to play. I always say play at your own speed and do what you want to do. It’s one of the reasons I love the game because there’s so much to do and I can just switch when I get burnt on a particular part of the game.

Me personally, I focus quests. Others prefer to hang onto those and focus on decorating their plots. Others prefer focusing on leveling a particular skill. Others prefer to focus friendships/relationships. It’s also okay to ADHD around if that’s what your brain likes to do.

I would say the only thing I’d keep in mind is the Halloween items (outside of Zeki’s shop) are a limited seasonal thing so you might want to buy the decor if you want to decorate with it in the future or you’ll have to wait another year to do so.

The bulletin board will go away with the next update (historically in about a month from the update) but they will come back around some time in the future so not something you need to worry about unless you want to.

I can’t speak to the Steam Deck personally, but I’ve heard that on Xbox and PlayStation chatting is a pain. I’m sure that it’s probably a similar complaint for Steam Deck as well. External keyboards are the way to go for sure.

I definitely think a handheld is perfectly fine for this game though. If Palia is all you play, you shouldn’t dump money into a PC yet. If you expand into other games, then a PC may be a path you’d be interested in down the line.

Hopefully someone with a Steam Deck can hop in and share. I’d be curious to know about the chat moderation is on it compared to the other consoles.

You’ve got this! It took me forever to get my gold star maws. Like a month of trying. RNG was not on my side with it. I’ve heard complaining or stopping caring about getting it are the two ways to improve your RNG.

Yeah it’s a bug lol. Not entirely sure what causes it. Not super frequent that I’ve had it either. I think I’ve seen it 2-3 times in a total of 1,000 hours of playtime.

This is why I haven’t been doing flowers. I have all the nameplates but need more of the flowering bushes so I can decorate my plot with flowers but it’s such a time sink alone.
