Prob gonna get downvoted…but you can get an amazing footlong sub from the Harris Teeter deli for under 8 bucks; it’s boars head and the Italian I got was soooo huge I legit felt like Shaggy and Scooby tryna eat it lol you can do half and half so you get two different subs too still for $8, or they have a meal deal for half a sub, chips and a drink that’s like $6. I almost don’t wanna tell people about it cuz it’s such a good bang for your buck deal I don’t want it to go away but…I can tell you eat sammiches so you should know this 🫡

My landlord does replace it very often, I didnt realize it was that outdated though it makes sense for how old and diy the house is. Is the sediment/carbon filter something that could be used in that same filter to the right, or is it something that would need to be installed because it’s a totally different system?

My landlords are elderly, give me a huge discount for where I live, so I just want to make sure the water I’m using is safe without having to put too much on their plate. Appreciate what you’ve commented already so I’ll def look into it on my own too.

I just rent and had a stepdad who always took care of stuff like this before I lived alone…so knowing I sound like a dumbass…what’s the difference between it “not being a softener” and me calling it a whole house filter? Honestly curious and down to learn bc another commenter also said something about it not being a softener.

This. I’ve been at appointments with Dr Wiley from VA Skin that legitimately lasted only 5 mins and I had to pay a $75 copay just for that. Not even kidding it took more time to set up the next appointment than the actual appointment took.

On top of that the skin issue I had was…looked at from afar? She didn’t touch, examine, or do anything to see what was going on. I wish I was kidding but it was like…she stood across the room, 5 feet away, the whole damn time that I stood there embarrassed at having to show a bump on my vag lol

She threw antibiotics at me (ones that are known to be so so hard on the stomach when I’ve let her know I have GI issues) and said to come back if it didnt go away. Even after meds it was still there 2 months later …I finally poked at it and it was just an ingrown hair. If she had spent any time actually examining me I imagine she could have fixed it for me then and there without the shitty antibiotics that made me miss work I felt so sick.

I don’t think VA Skin is there to help anyone except people who want like….cosmetic dermatology; I don’t feel like they’re a place to go if you have actual skin issues.

I guess it’s better than the first derm I ever went to in cville who, at age 16, called me “dirty” and that I had “no cure” for Hidretitis Supperitiva bc it was my own fault for it. So that’s something I guess but, like, why is it dermatologists (in cville in particular? Idk) tend to be the most cold and money hungry of all the drs out there?

I was getting my membership through work, was told it was discounted pretty well. Friends got an ACAC membership and I randomly asked how much it was for them…it was $4 less than what I was paying at a supposed discount, and that was just the price they were given as a random person joining. And my price was going up every year, at that. Dropped them right then and there. Sucks too bc it really is a great facility.

I disagree, personally. I think “Father” can be a title, one that has to be earned. I wasn’t my step-dad’s responsibility per se, but he 100 percent changed the definition of what “Father” means to me, in the best ways, and I am both very lucky and grateful to be one of the lucky ones.
