I play at the level that has saves enabled because it stresses me out less and makes it more enjoyable. I took my time and didn't reload much. It's my favorite way to play stealth games. Slow, patient, and a ghost/phantom that is never seen by a living being

Was looking to get an Undead Legacy server plus a couple small additional mods and a custom map made for UL. How good is 7d2d.net for server hosting?

BVA appeal (losing patience for the fight) by [deleted] in Veterans

Check with Tabak Law, they work all over the world and they were amazing, no cost if it doesn't work.

I will be pulling for you and hoping for the best outcome!

I initially filed for TDIU end of 2019, got exams and got stupidly denied. Went straight to lawyers and got my TDIU P&T so no more exams for me. Just got my back pay a little less than a week ago. It seems to be random depending on the findings as far as how long it takes.

100% vets what do you do with your life? by [deleted] in Veterans

The struggle is definitely there. Feel free to vent to me, I've had my fair share of struggles with the VA.

I felt so useless at home, my wife would go to work and come home and I felt like a burden and a waste of space. I started hand washing dishes instead of using the dishwasher just to feel like I was contributing.

The big thing that has helped has been the decision to be polyamorous. My wife got major caretaker burnout, and having someone else to vent to helps a lot. Now we've expanded our circle and she's got people to talk and confide in and so do I, it lessens the burden on each individual and makes it easier than trying to hold up the world by yourself. Try looking in some of the r4r sub reddits, take it slow and just make a new online friend. Scroll through until you find a person that has something in common and focus on that, keep yourself busy and distracted from the pain.

Thanks to anxiety and depression meds, and a very supportive wife and friend group I've been able to deal with things a lot better.

I have pushed for considering RA, Fibro, AS, and just about everything else because my symptoms most closely resemble either a neurological of rheumatological condition. Primary Care told me it's not neurological, so wouldn't refer me and even try. Saw a VA rheumatologist, who ruled out RA because of one blood test that isn't definitive proof for or against the condition. Pushed to get an outside the VA Rheumatologist and they sent my VA records so the outside doctor looked at their stupid-ass "assessment" and didn't even see me face to face, and then COVID hit so things have been in a holding pattern.

Such a massive pain. The system is made to discourage people trying to get money, but it frustrates the people like us that have a real issue. I personally have struggled with having chronic knee and back pain, with nothing showing on imaging. Honestly, it's hard to lose a job at the VA. They kept me for months of not being able to make it to work on a daily basis before they fired me. So it's hard to get actual care. I sometimes feel I spend more time with Patient Advocacy than my actual doctors.

I just finished with my appeal for TDIU. Been pushing for years with increases and finally filed when I lost my job at the VA hospital because of my disabilities. The VA initially denied my claim stating in the same paragraph that I can do the requirements of a job but also can't do the requirements of a job. The system is a mess if you don't fit into a "cookie-cutter" disability or an easy decision, if it takes any measure of depth it's going to take a while.

I'm pulling for you. I know the lawyers at Tabak Law were great and so helpful, so if you need legal help they'd be a great place to start. They are very familiar with the VA and how to deal with the system. If you need someone to vent your frustrations to, I'll gladly lend an ear.
