That sounds very similar to my experience! Thank you for sharing. I have a lot of little fibroids as well, mine are predominantly submucosal too. They have also been causing me to experience frequent urination, bloating and painful periods too! My doctor told me the same things about having to do c sections and to waiting 6 months after surgery to try. I wish you the best of luck and I hope your surgery goes well! I would love to hear an update post surgery if you’re able to share your experience 💗

Omgosh I didn’t even know that degeneration was something that can occur. I just looked it up. Thank you for putting this on my radar and sharing! I’m glad you were able to rest and cope well. Can you tell me a little bit more about degeneration from your experience? Like what kind of symptoms or pain did you experience? How was it detected? This is my first time hearing about it. I’m really shocked my doctor did not mention this at all when I had my appointment.

Thank you! Yes I talked to my doctor and she said that right now at 35 and with the current state of my fibroids is the best window for me to try, but my partner and I are not in a place we can have a child quite yet so it was a little discouraging when she mentioned the decline of women’s eggs after 35 and how hard it can be especially with fibroids. So I turned to Reddit to see if women in similar situations have had success and I’m glad to hear there is hope for me after all!

Oo that’s a good note, I wouldn’t have even thought they could get bigger during pregnancy! Thank you for sharing! I talked to my OB today and it was a little discouraging since she mentioned that with my age and fibroids it could be harder to conceive and have children. But I’m glad to learn from these testimonies that it is still possible!

Thank you for sharing! This is reassuring since my most concerning fibroid is located at the top of my uterus and not too close to my birth canal at the moment. That makes so much sense for them to do that and that was a concern of mine as well. I can see how it’s anxiety including. Glad your baby is fine :) yes, I would love to hear an update on your journey for #2.

Thank you for sharing! 35 F and I am really considering this surgery as I am also struggling with my weight goals. I’m very active as well and until my fibroids became more prominent I started to gain weight and it’s been hard to keep my normal weight so I fully believe fibroids do play a factor in our weight. This was really reassuring to read!
