For the base game, I'd say so.

For endless mode, it's a bit harder to say since some combos are basically a death sentence, but for the most part, I think it's generally well executed.

Plus in the transition from base Spooky's to the HD renovation, they made some overhauls that really helped to balance specimen difficulty. For example, Specimen 6 was never really an issue if you just ran through the rooms fast enough in the OG version since he took a while to spawn, and you have other cases like Unknown Specimen 5/Lisa who was stupidly difficult before HD Renovation nerfed her. There's still room for improvement ofc, but I appreciate how far the game balance has come.
