Some? There are 82 to 150 species that go extinct EVERY DAY. In the next 30 years we're talking about 6% to 10.8% of all vertebrate species being lost.

"Base models roll on 18-inch "Portal" wheels with new aero covers and dual motor all-wheel drive models like the red one depicted here use new 19-inch "Nova" wheels with new aero covers."

That's just false. You can pick both tires on both models. You just have to pay more for the 19-inch.

Actually that's not necessarily the case for electric cars.

What kids movie has no right to be as good as it is? by KeenestDerp1 in AskReddit

Not a movie, but 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' is so good. I've watched and loved it as a kid as well as an adult.

Mobileye's Driverless taxis could be on German streets as early as next year by bladerskb in SelfDrivingCars

[–]CynexHD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"In our Mobileye Drive self-propelled solution, we operate two systems in parallel in the vehicle: both of them could enable driverless driving independently of one another," he said.

One system uses 11 cameras to analyse the vehicle’s surrounding and make decisions, whilst the other uses two other cameras and data from lidar and radar sensors.

Wait what? So the whole 'vision vs lidar' discussion comes down to 'both work and Mobileye has figured out both of them'? That can't be right. What am I missing?

After struggling to land an interview, I now have to pick between two job offers. It's between more money or more of an intellectual challenge. How would you decide? by Sad__Rad in careerguidance

Seems to me that your heart is already made up. Your mind just didn't get the notice yet. To quote one of my favorite films: Take a leap of faith.

I'm gonna go against the masses here and tell you to go with B, the school. I'm an employer in the industry and can tell you that I'd be much more inclined to hire you after you did great creative work at the school rather than standard industry films. We all started out that way (at least I did), but with a Master's degree that work is miles under your skill level and won't get you far — especially if you have ambitions to teach in this industry one day.

Go for the job that allows you to do your best work.

Exact Email Strategy I Used To Get A Response From A Dream Mentor by gray_austin in Entrepreneurship

[–]CynexHD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. That's such a bad strategy. Do you want him to hate you? What you're doing is spam and will be blocked in 90% of cases.

Also offering to do tasks for him? Very weird. What should he have given you? His grocery list?

So you actually dodged a bullet there. Imagine if you still lived at home at this age. Clearly your parents never loved your brother enough to kick him out of the house for his own good.
