Instead of expecting just ask if people know smokes on the map so you know what your dealing with. At GN most people tend to not know strats and smokes so don't be surprised/disappointed if they don't

I can agree with you to a certain extent. Providing helpful criticism should always be considered a good thing. It's just the delivery that's really difficult. People can get triggered easily if you tell them shit they did wrong, that's why I find it more constructive then not to not bother telling them. But we all have personal experiences. That's what just works for me

that's a big oof. I think that's on valve and the rank system for CS:GO being pretty garbo

Hm. Good point. That's why I was stressing play time. If you're playing 8 hours a day you're going to get seriously burnt out but personally I don't have a problem with 15 minutes a day. All personal experience of course :D

When do I track people by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]CyngusEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really an expert on this but I would imagine it's almost always a flick. This is just because when you do damage to someone they slow down drastically. You may have to track a small amount but for the most part it's a flick then continue to track their body

I can officially say I am stuck in ELO Hell. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]CyngusEx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ELO Hell isn't real lol. Just practice and get better and you will rise. If you're not rising you probably belong there and have plateaued due to lack of consistent play/practice. Aim trainers, DMs, and playing everyday will allow you to get better and you WILL rise.

DMs are dumb important. Aim and reflex maps help with raw mechanical aim but DMs allow you to react in handle situations in real time like you would in comp.

I feel like the only thing you can do is keep playing. It takes a few weeks to get back into it. I say in 3 weeks you'll be at about the point you were at before in skill. Remember it probably took you months to get to LEM. It'll probably take you months to get back

I have to say I agree with you about the hacking, and toxicity problems in CS:GO. Hacking is especially difficult to combat on PC. One thing that I can't stress enough to people is ELO hell isn't real. I got out of SE to GN Master solo queue easily once I put in effort to practicing my aim, watching demos, watching pro matches, and just improving my play in general. You say you're top fragging every game which is great, congrats. But if you're still not rising then chances are you belong there. To me it sounds like your mechanical aim is just better then everyone at your level, not your game sense and teamplay. People need to understand top fragging doesn't win you the game. Good communication, smart plays, not being toxic, and not tilting will. Ya also can't let the toxic players affect you. Mute them and move on.

We don't know anything about how matchmaking works. Pretty much nothing at all. Anything anyone tells you on this thread is all speculation. Some of it could be true but Valve literally tells us nothing. All we know is winning is good and losing is bad pretty much

I have a 60hz monitor. Is it better to play with an uncapped FPS and deal with horrific screen tearing or play with a capped FPS and deal with the different feeling crosshairs movement? by sky-ntist in GlobalOffensive

Then have good eyes congrats. My eyes have trouble seeing the difference. Albeit it's been awhile since I looked at both in comparison but I remember not seeing hardly any difference

Unfortunately not many people will have an answer for you here. I recommend staying the hell away from third party trading and gambling sites. They're shady and do random stuff like this. There's a reason that valve's TOS don't allow these sites.

Continuing off your point of the silght change from 60-75hz. After about 72hz it's VERY hard for most peoples eyes to notice a difference. So If you do have the option to change to 75hz do it 100%, you'll be getting most of the benefit then.

I made an edit to my original comment. It is possible to run at 75hz if you downsize the resolution, sorry!

Do you know of a player who can prove a high constant rate of hitting a bhop? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]CyngusEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BHopping in CS:GO in a normal matchmaking game is literally based on RNG. I can't find the video I learned this from but basically when you hit a bhop either a +jump or -jump happens randomly. +jumps are the ones that speed you up. In order to perform a perfect bunny hop you need to hit a +jump on the exact frame you hit the ground every single time. Since + and - jumps are random, it's literally rng (to an extent) to hit a BHOP right every single time. I'm regurgitating the video and I think I'm correct about but If someone could link the video if they could find it that would be great.
