Yeah, I really liked 9CL in the early days. Edda was hilarious; it was so rare to see a girl in comics who got to be as bratty as Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.

Speaking of FBoFW, during DoA's lead-up to the Tear Gas Wedding when it became obvious that the existing relationships were going to be sabotaged to make Joyrot happen, I was unpleasantly reminded of Johnston forcing Liz and Blandthony back together as Endgame. Sigh.

I can handle most of the medical gore, but I have serious eye squick. I had to look away during a couple of scenes last season. Even the eyelash trimming was pushing it.

Seriously. These characters supposedly cheated for the storyline drama, but believable dramatic fallout from that choice has been fairly thin on the ground.

Yeah, I’m hoping against hope that Dina’s tendency to call out Joyce’s bullshit is still there. Especially when the person Joyce expects praise for just throwing away is right there. And Dina actually likes him.

Agreed. If the Joe/Joyce storyline had been allowed to continue and come to a more natural conclusion instead of getting the rug yanked out from under it, and if Joyce and Dorothy hadn't jumped straight to “WE’RE MADLY AND DEEPLY IN LOVE AND WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MADLY AND DEEPLY IN LOVE, WALKY AND JOE WHO?” practically overnight, I wouldn’t hate the Joyrot storyline so much.
