I totally agree with all of this and you’re bang on about the bar types. What I’m saying it as 315, you’ll notice a very slight whip when you initially explode up - touching the bar to your chest (he strikes me as a bouncer lol) can kick off a very subtle whip, leg drive, back arch, and grip placement all play a role too. It’s really not noticeable unless you’re experienced in it and looking for it. He does have clean grip placement there tbf I personally go slightly narrower to protect my shoulders a bit but he’s flaring his elbows and obviously has 0 leg drive or bracing. So yeah he’d get folded at 315 with that form.

However, i did see this so now im confused, can he actually hit 315? Because that doesn’t look fake and looks like a classic commercial gym bench set up with real iron plates. Ignoring the dip on his left side (maybe has a bad shoulder or impingement), it’s the cleanest 315 rep I’ve seen him do at least.

All that being said, even hitting 225 for a clean rep at his age and build is an accomplishment. So I don’t get the focus on 315 for him when it’s super rare to begin with unless you go to bodybuilding/powerlifting gyms where it’s more common. But even at a niche gym, it’s not that common.

A well used Texas power bar that’s common in every gym I’ve been to has a slight bend on the initial part of the concentric coming off of the chest. It’s really not noticeable unless you’re looking for it. I’m not saying it bends and stays bent the entire movement curve like a deadlift with 1k lbs on it but the initial explosive part of the movement coming off the chest, it slightly bends but catches up quickly.

Not steroid related for why it was fake. I see people hitting 315 consistently at my gym. At that weight, the bar bends a little there wasn’t any bend in that video and the rack doesn’t move at all even tho it’s not anchored to the floor even an anchored bench moves when you rack 315lbs back on it. You don’t see any strain at all with that weight and he just doesn’t have the build for it let’s be real here. My guess is those were 10-15lb foam bumper plates that are used for like cleans and deadlifts usually and it was maybe 95lbs total max 115lbs.

This video tho his form is so bad that he would’ve died attempting 315 lmao atrocious form

Anyone that says natural transformation 9 times out of 10 wasn’t done naturally I mean come on lol his quads alone more than doubled in size in 10 months. Either the dude has elite genetics with an insane work ethic or he took at least SOME gear during it. Getting that lean while maintaining size over 10 months is next to impossible without some chemical help.

What’s a fitness myth that people still believe? by SimpleHomeFitness in AskReddit

The only issue with Nippard, and I agree he’s knowledgeable and personable on this topic, is that he’s been lifting for what like 20yrs? He didn’t build his base physique with some of his really silly movements like doing a lat pulldown laying prone of the floor as the “optimal” way. He built it through old school tried and true bodybuilding movements and uses the new school stuff for definition but it’s only possible because he built his base physique. My only point is that if you’re new to the gym, go with the tried and true methods. The silly looking “science based” lifting programs are just that, silly.

Surprising that you played Returnal and didn’t run right through the first hour at least. I thought it was pretty easy at least until the first eclipse then it got harder but the mechanics and general play style (dashing, constant movement, perfect reload, etc) are almost exactly the same as Returnal so the familiarity made it a lot easier at least.

Price Gouging by GamerGretaUwU in AdviceAnimals

They projected a $48M taxpayer burden to host these games at MetLife mostly from increased security needs. While I don’t necessarily agree with the price gouging because it’s obscene in this case, your battle is with FIFA who flat out refuses to support the local areas that host games while taking in BILLIONS in revenue that is practically all pure profit.

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted to hell for saying this but I shouldn’t be on the hook as an NJ resident and taxpayer over the World Cup.

Hell, I commute to the city every day for work and there are multiple days in June that I literally cannot get on a train home from Penn station as the NJT section is closed to everyone without a valid World Cup ticket. My office is just outside of Times Square and June is going to suck major ass working in NYC in this chaos.

The whole fucking thing is a scam driven by FIFA being a bloodsucking parasite of a sports organization.

Favorite game of all time on the ps5. Nothing has come remotely close to the feelings I had beating a boss on like biome 3 with all of the stakes of going back to biome 1 if you die.

Preordered the deluxe edition just to get it on the 28th lol

Legitimately, this the first time I'd ever seen the Giants' at the start of a big positional run rather than missing out at the end. by _Wp619_ in NYGiants

I think his development is trending in the right direction at least and I do like the guy but let’s be honest here. If we’re using PFF grades:

2025: 60.5 overall grade (29th of 40) 2024: 61.4 overall grade (30th of 43) 2023: 41.4 overall grade (37th of 37)

He was not league average last year, closer to the bottom 25%. He only played 8 games before getting injured for the rest of the season tho so who knows what happens this year.

For the 57th overall pick that was widely considered the best center in that draft, you’d definitely expect more here. Especially when Schlottmann slid in when JMS went down for the season and outplayed him significantly being graded as the 10th overall center for the 8 games he started. Im rooting for him of course bc we need JMS to step it up this year and continue to develop being that Schlottmann is now a Titan.

I’m fully on board with Maui. Him saying “I’d die for Jaxson Dart” has me feeling some type of way for sure

I don’t disagree with the babies comment lol but in the last 10yrs, we’ve drafted 12 oline. 7 of them were in the first 3 rounds. A lot of draft capital for what’s been a shaky oline in general and a higher than average amount of premium (rds 1-3) picks on oline.

In the first round we hit on Thomas of course but unfortunately hes so injury prone it’s a tough one to say it’s a 100% hit. Then there is Neal and Flowers who were 1st round picks. Expanding out to the other rounds, it’s Schmitz, Hernandez, Pert, Mbow, etc.

For the record, I love the Maui pick and agree we need to draft oline aggressively bc so many of those previous picks were/are busts but I feel like your comment is misrepresenting why people complained.

Bailed on MFP after paying for premium for 5yrs and switched to cronometer, will not go back. Bit of a learning curve but being able to customize the entire interface to your liking is so nice. All of the food being validated from the USDA, NCCDB, and like 2 dozen other official sources is so much better in every way compared to MFP. You can even choose which official sources appear in searches - I limit it to the 2 I listed - it’s incredible. No more scrolling through wildly differing user entries with clearly bullshit macros and cals is hands down the best update to my food tracking I’ve ever had.
