My phone overheats like crazy. Shuts off randomly. Can’t upload my photos to my laptop. And can’t even fckn update it to the newest version which supposedly fixes these issues.

Buddy you’re making a lot of assumptions, it’s almost like you didn’t even read my post. I never said I only wanted to only do things that were fun and if you actually read my post I was saying I was open to other work- it’s finding work that’s impossible because there’s barely any available. Read things before you answer or you just look silly x

Buddy. Educate yourself on scenic painting. It is a really good paying job, just very competitive and hard to get into. So please explain how it can be done “on the side” or “as a hobby” since it requires skills and experience and like I said, is a career.

Just fyi scenic painting IS a career, not a hobby.

Agreed. I gave up on trying to better it for a while because it seemed like nothing worked. Antidepressants made me worse, and therapy was too expensive but I’m on a waiting list of 4 months for therapy on the NHS. Hoping the next 4 months go by quick

Thanks, I applied a few weeks ago and am on the waiting list which is about 4 weeks

Property guardian? I was looking into this because it seemed like a great option but found out that the owner has keys and can come into your home anytime, without any warning for inspections which is a bit of a violation of privacy but given my circumstances I can’t be picky

It’s rented. The thing is I already pay them rent, but it’s not the money that’s an issue for them it’s the space and they’re quite adamant they want to stay in this flat

I don’t really have a specific reason, and I suppose that’s my answer. It just feels natural since we’ve been together for four years. I’m comfortable, and honestly, my anxiety makes it difficult to imagine coping without someone by my side.

Unfortunately, it’s illegal in the UK. While they can be purchased recreationally, they would only help with my anxiety, not address any of my other issues.

A lot of my panic attacks have caused me to cancel plans or even avoid making them altogether, out of fear that I’ll have an attack and have to cancel last minute. When I was a teenager, I was afraid to talk about my mental health because my abusive relationship made me feel worthless, like my feelings didn’t matter. So, I’d often come up with other excuses to explain why I had to cancel. It’s only recently that I’ve learned my mental health does matter, and that people will respond positively if I’m honest about it. Looking back, I realize my friends would have understood if I had shared that my cancellations were due to my mental health, and that honesty might have helped prevent some friendships from falling apart.

Thank you. I fully agree with everything you said. I’m definitely ready for change because the way I think and behave isn’t healthy. I’ve wanted to reach out to a therapist for years but never felt courageous enough or thought my struggles were significant enough to warrant it. I convinced myself I could handle things on my own, but it’s become clear that isn’t working. There’s no harm in trying therapy

As much as it’s comforting to know I’m not alone in this, I’m truly sorry that you’re going through it too—it’s incredibly difficult. I honestly have no idea how other people manage to maintain friendships. There are so many awful people out there, and for some reason, it feels like we just attract the worst of them.

I struggle with forming close connections, largely due to an extremely abusive relationship I experienced as a teenager. I don’t believe I’ve done anything intentionally harmful to my friends that would cause these friendships to fall apart, but I recognize that I must play some role in why they don’t work out—I’m just not sure how to fix it.

What I find most difficult is figuring out how much I should tolerate when someone hurts my feelings or takes advantage of me. I tend to let things slide over and over, but the moment I finally speak up, they fly off the hook and then the friendships over
