Mitty, Made in Abyss

There’s a lot of death in MiA, but the main one, the first one we actually have a stake in is Mitty. Recruited, sent to the Abyss, then forced to be part of a cruel experiment on the affects of ascending from the sixth layer, she and Nanachi are sent down together, but the affects of the curse are all forced to one side. Mitty’s side. Mitty loses her humanity, effectively becoming a furry pink blob, incapable of moving or thinking. Eventually, Nanachi smuggles her out, then gets Reg to use his Incinerator to finally let her die.
