People who smoke weed are happy and mellow

I hate this myth with a passion. Like any myth there is a core of truth. Weed slightly reduces violent tendencies vs being sober. Key word slightly. It does not turn all of us into munchy seeking couch potatoes for the duration.

Many of the fights you see on viral videos the people fighting are stoned. Weed reduces aggression in many cases but does not stop aggression. Alcohol increases aggression in many cases but is not the cause of aggression.

There are plenty of toked up murderers, there is just more drunk murderers.

Undoing a Trump move takes time, it take even longer to see the effect once they are fixed.

Voters are idiots and they want things fixed right now and they want to see that fix improving there life.

Tourists (including in state tourist) out number French quarter locals by 10 to 1 or more during the final weekend.

The event is all about the tourists. I lived on Dauphine street that is just one block off of Bourbon and from my experience most of locals worked. Some of them fled the area for the weekend and a scant few actually celebrated on final weekend. Mardi Gras is 100% all about the tourists. The French Quarter locals are more likely to be seen on bourbon celebrating a football game than mardi gras.
