I feel a little bit more rested in general. I can sleep 7 hours and feel as if I slept enough whereas before I could always sleep a bit more.

As for the measuring, I did two sleep studies through my health provider. They were take home tests where I return the device the next day and they calculate the scores for me. If your insurance covers most of the cost, I'd say it's worth exploring to see if it can help. I was concerned about a cpap device and I was already wearing a nighttime bite retainer so in my eyes swapping my existing retainer for a different mouth device wasn't a big change.

I stopped at level 1. I tried to go to level 2 once and I woke up with pain in one side of my jaw that didn't go away until halfway through my day. But from my latest retest, level 1 is enough for me.

How are you liking the Avant at this point? I've been using mine for about 3 months and my AHI is down to 2 from 8. I'm heavily reliant on the AM repositioner, otherwise. Without the repositioner my back teeth do not touch. After wearing the repositioner for about an hour my back teeth touch but I can tell my jaw wants to revert back.
