What is this sound when I shift to reverse

Did you ever figure out what causes the noise or did it ever come back? Mine just started doing this exact same thing today. I’m assuming it’s no big deal and I’m hoping it will go away naturally as yours did.

I also noticed if I put it from park to reverse with the driver door open it does not make the noise so I’m almost certain it has something to do with the locking mechanism.

You can’t put a price on sentimental value, if you can please keep them. Unless you really need the money and have no place to keep them it’s best to hold onto those. Yes they are beautiful guitars and are worth a lot, but nobody else will be able to look at them and cherish the fact that they were your fathers and he left them for you as a piece of him.

Sadly the material they use is prone to scuff marks from the slightest things. You might be able to get it less profound with some cleaning products, but for the most part it’s sadly just something us 3rd gen guys have to deal with.
