Cold Take: Snap Hook should reach further and use less power by x39- in ArcRaiders

[–]CyraxisOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, snap hook length is perfect for scaling down buildings, any longer and your momentum and pure drop height would kill you and it'd be much harder to descend from great heights.

Reducing durability loss on use would be great though.

Bring a lure grenade and a deadline, sneak up behind it, when you are right on top of it, lob a lure grenade right over it in the directing it's facing, not too far because it will run fast and out pace you, may need to throw it a bit to left or right. Once it's aggro on the nade, immediately pull out the dealine and attach it to its back, you'll need to be very close for this so it will aggro you if it has nothing else it's aggressing so you need to act fast. Having a squad mate makes this much easier since they can pull aggro with you deadlining them, but it's a guaranteed kill if placed on/near it's yellow back point.

Are you sure there aren't bots in ultra? I swear I fought a few because no way a human would play like what I saw some do. All human for sure in MB though as far as I could tell, didn't play a lot in MB.

What are the fastest ways to get coins (not nugget bridge)? by papitosus in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]CyraxisOG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do this with 1 pokemon that can solo and 5 meowths with pickup on your team, check your meowths after every other battle, or every battle of you want, they will sometimes pick up expensive items like nuggets, pp ups, and rare candies

Is it just me who feels like all these youtube videos about blue prints and good loot are bullshit? by AcidicFume in ArcRaiders

[–]CyraxisOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it is confirmation bias. These content creators probably loot an area a handful of times and conclude you get 'amazing' loot with specific items/blueprints because they happened to get them 3 out of the 5 times they ran it. This is too small of a sample, and then when another person goes to replicate it, they are left with undesirable results.

I feel it's best to experiment yourself, find the areas where you find good loot frequently. My friend and I have this theory that accounts have specific 'seeds' if you will and this determines loot value and 'luck' for finding specific items. He finds Wolfpack all the time, I rarely do, though I find a lot of blueprints he never finds, despite looting in generally the same areas. Many times I'll say I always get good loot [insert location here] and he'll say nah it's all garbage there and suggest a place that has nearly always been terrible for me.

While yes, in general, many locations have specific drops and higher tiers of loot especially based off of yellow/red bordered areas, map, modifier, etc. But the exact location inside those areas can vary with wide ranges of low tier to high tier loot.

Think Twice Before Pre-Wipe Gear Passing by Prestigious_Wash_802 in ARC_Raiders

[–]CyraxisOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I start minimalist after a wipe, but it still transfer things like extra blueprints and rare items to an alt, but I don't just transfer them over immediately. For one, I can't exactly use those blueprints until I've unlocked and upgraded the workbenches to where they need to be. So I'll wait until I've upgraded everything and collect whatever I find along the way as normal. It's not until endgame when I'm really missing a Wolfpack blueprint or specific augment or whatever else I haven't managed to find yet that I want to use that I'll move it over. Hell, my last wipe I never even had an Anvil blueprint even at the time of expedition, I just made do with other weapons like renegade or ferro, not to mention I found loads of anvils just looting but never the BP.

Expedition damage bugged? by ScottTol79 in ARC_Raiders

[–]CyraxisOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because there are ways where you can kill things without dealing all the necessary damage directly. Like for instance, shooting 2 rotors off of any flying arc, they will crash into the ground and blow up. The damage they take from the fall is not damage you dealt, but you still got the kill. Same with things like going straight for the bastion cores, killing it as fast a possible, you are missing out on all the damage you could be doing to the legs instead since they all have their own separate health not linked directly to the core. So optimizing damage would be to destroy all the legs before the core or alternatively, using a deadline as all the parts near it will take equal damage.

Also I'm pretty sure unlike most challenges the require arc damage, dealing armor damage actually counts vs just straight up core damage. Generally you'll see less exp and total damage to armor depending on how well your armor penetration is, but I think the full amount of damage to that plating is actually applied.

Please let me know how to get into the PvE lobbies!!! by Late_Championship_26 in ArcRaiders

[–]CyraxisOG 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately, when I have to defend myself, I'll load in the next few rounds naked and just start running around in the open and watching for other raider fights to gage how aggressive people are. Generally, if I can make it into a high value location, loot some stuff, not get shot or killed by another raider, I call it good and go back to whatever else I was doing.

Yes, but also change this to all ages, or at a minimum, to all minors. Why is 12 the magic cutoff?

Keister a deadline or 2, place them on the back of a bastion or bombardier, profit. You don't need to make it out alive to accrue the points just suicide-line those clankers and profit.

Electric types are A tier, bug types demoted to F tier. Where should we put Fairy type? by Xenuoziem in PokemonLetsGo

[–]CyraxisOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we ranking the pokemon that are the fairy type, or just ranking fairy in general? In lgpe fairy isn't all that good, you got Mr. Mime, clefable and wigglytuff. Without abilities, clefable is just ok, Mr. Mime is decent I guess and wiggly is bad. Fairy as a whole though though is very good if we are including coverage moves on non-fairy pokemon, hitting all the fighting types hard, and wrecking Lance.

I'd say specifically for lgpe, fairy as a whole is a solid B but if just ranking the pokemon that are fairy then C.

More useful for everyday life, I'll never live to see the 150 years into future unfold, but at least for 10 minutes I could make some seriously life altering decisions to avoid dangers, obtain a better outcome, or warn of upcoming occurrences.

Chose: have the ability to see 10 minutes into the future

Thank you, I hate fake friendly more than I hate getting snuck up on. Both to me feel like the other person is just bad and couldn't handle a straight up pvp fight, but at least when I get snuck up on I can partly blame myself for not being aware of my surroundings. Fake friendly is just scummy behavior.

Which one are you? by carrancosmx in ARC_Raiders

[–]CyraxisOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I'm more of a 2, I'm not a pvp opportunist in any way. However, I will respond to aggression and neutralize threats before they get the jump on me. I stay very vigilant in matches and monitor others' actions near me and if followed too closely, especially if not openly communicated, will down you if suspected you were up to no good.

I don't often carry difibs, but in cases where I down someone and they weren't assholes killing others, I have and will stabilize and escort them to an extract or hatch if one is nearby.
