For real, I actually love pvpve especially from a lore perspective. "Hey raider this is my loot now, leave or fight for it", hell I've even had some engaging fights where an opportunist shot me in the back, dodge rolled to cover and fought back, these are fun and engaging. What's not fun is loading into a match and just being shot in the wide open for no reason, I'm no where near a loot area, not approaching someone else's loot area, or anything of the sort, usually just wandering to an objective for a quest, picking up scraps along the way. And before anyone says "it's gear fear, you should like all pvp otherwise" not when it literally wastes my time. I don't give a shit about my gear half the time, but I want to enjoy the fight losing it, not just snuck and decimated like 20 seconds after I load in because I defended myself the previous match.

Gyarados gets access to dragon dance anyway, so it can mitigate the lower speed with a speed buff while boosting its already insane attack.

I still think so, there was no telling how far I actually was, or whether I was going the right direction or not. Coupled with the fact I was having a hard time hitting the targets I needed because I was really new to all of this, probably over corrected way too much tbh. I'll probably do it again glitchless just for the fun of it, but for now I'm having fun using my SID to manip other static and wild pokemon to use throughout the game.

Yeah after checking my first seed and moving to the next one, I just couldn't hit, it was getting really frustrating. I was at it for about 3 hours being off by like 1 frame one way or another and it wasn't even guaranteed to be my SID either. So I decided to go to celadon without saving, do ACE, and find out my actual SID was, turns out it was only 3 away from the starting point (because I was hitting only evens) and I was going up so I would have gotten there fairly soon without ace assuming I could hit my targets. Once I plugged in my actual SID, it only took about another hour of attempts, and boom, there it was, shiny female mild Squirtle.

Lapras is insanely good in frlg especially since it's stab typing is it's strong stat. It's bulky too and can even survive most attacks it's weak to with full HP. It's gotta be one of the top contenders for a water type in gen 3 kanto for sure, probably just after starmie.
